have been using it since 2021, this bastard sounds like a fucking maraca after many falls to the floor
but it still works as good as new
also I use it on my switch and my pc (either with xoutput or steam api)

Say whatever you want about the Xbox brand, but their Xbox wired controllers are the objectively best controllers.

A WiiU Pro Controller and an 8BitDo 64. I use the latter for N64 and Saturn games. I tried playing N64 games mapping the C buttons to the right analog stick and it really doesn't work.

Gyro is extremely good. You can Macro aim with the joystick and Micro aim with the gyro. Allowing you to have Mouse style aim with a conroller.

A DS4 controller that somehow is still alive after almost 10 years of occasional use. Last year I had to do a "surgery" on it and neuter its rumble motors, because they were stuck on 100% no matter the software, ingame settings, or hard resets I did on it. Other than that it's still my favorite controller.

Got the GameBoy colored one recently. People weren't lying about how loud those face buttons are, but I love the d-pad. I hope 8bitdo releases some Playstaion-style face buttons to swap in. I'm ambivalent about the rubber grips, on one hand the lack of them made the V4P feel kind of cheap but on the other hand they'll eventually devolve into gunk

the dualsense died for no fucking reason and wouldn't work even plugged in. This thing has everything I want and I can use it without the battery when it inevitably fails. Absolute dream controller.

Just try it. It also comes in clear purple.

The caveats of this controller is that the d-pad is only accurate if you slide your thumb around the edge and it's too cramped for serious usage of the right analog stick. The thickness off-sets the small size. Your right thumb will touch the right stick.

left for dpad games, right for stick games. although my cat knocked the right one off the desk a few months ago and its having issues, might have to replace it soon.

Okay the solution was to not use any secondary program whatsoever, and it worked properly. It was working with DS4windows before, but it seems not necessary now.
