Should I get the new Pokemon or the new Digimon? What's the difference between them both?

Get Palworld if you want to play rollslop pokemon. ZA isn't worth 20$ let alone 70+ tip. Digimon is a story game. If you can't handle all the cutscenes then you won't like it. It has strong gameplay in the form of combat and grinding with a new game plus challenge mode for autists, but again it's very story heavy and a slow burn.

Unless you REALLY want the Eternal Floette, you should get Digimon for now.
