I can't think of a single thing this game needs remastering. It already has a texture pack for modern resolutions and the UI can be scaled. Short of a total remake you'd be better off just playing the original or playing another game because you shouldn't ever play 2.

There IS a bug though where if the quest target is underground then the quest market will guide you to the nearest underground enterance. So you end up entering the wrong cave with tbe quest target nowhere in sight. Not softlock. All you need to do is go back out and search formthe correct cave based on the quest description.

There was this skill of the dragon mage that can be modded for aoe and jump around enemies, use that with 25 or 30 mobs several times, if game dont explode guess I didnt have enough luck for it

I'm mainly looking forward to this for the controller support, though the control scheme they've come up with seems subpar (you have to cycle through combat arts using R2, wtf)

Still, hopefully it runs better and without stuttering like the original game does for me. Also, I saw a review that shows that the remaster made character movement snappier when turning and that the the collision radius with enemies and NPCs is greatly reduced.

Dungeon siege 2 was PEAK. 3 being a soulless diablo clone was such a let down. Controlling mutliple characters for an arpg is such a cool idea and dungeon siege 2 refined the idea so well. Kitting out your crew, watching them tear through a dungeon and occassionally popping an ult or switching your caster from an offensive spell to a heal is great fun. But that kind of gameplay requires a mouse and rts style keyboard shortcuts, so just throw out the whole fucking identity of the series, make it a gamepad friendly hack and slash, throw in some bloodrayne looking thot and sell it to xbros.

It is slightly less mindless in a way that really suits my tastes. Each character specs into these little skill trees, like in 1, but along the way you unlock Powers, which are active skills. A character can only have one Power equiped at a time, but each party member gets one. So on top of deciding when to change a party members spell/weapons you can use these powers that do stuff like smashing one enemy really hard, or healing the whole party, or freezing all the enemies. Its not a huge addition, but it adds more than it seems to at first. It gives the game this perfect balance of micromanaging your party between fights and having more agency in combat. The game's presentation is way better too. Environments and enemies look great and the overworld is still seamless with no load screens, other than when you teleport but thats cleverly hidden with a visual effect. I enjoyed it a lot and its a great time capsule of the genre, when devs were trying new things, integrating ideas from other genres and the term arpg wasnt entirely interchangable with "diablo clone"
