8 months later, this is the most overrated piece of shit I ever wasted my money on.

Extra HDD space for the xbox360. I got scammed into believing it could play games without a disc by the store fucks.

Fucking thing broke after a few years

I bought one for very cheap from a pawn shop last year and I haven't even finished 1 game on it yet. I got it to game share with my nephew so I didn't have to buy games but then he bought a gaming laptop. I ended up upgrading my pc shortly after so I have literally zero reasons to own this thing. I suppose I could've sold it sooner because its worth nothing nowadays.

I got a 2080 Ti for like £500 when the 30 series came out. It ran at insanely high temps unless i power limited the hell out of it but it still felt cool running what had been a top end card
Then graphics card prices shot up and i sold my old Vega 56 for £500. Good times

Meta Quest 2, I bought it to play with friends but there were no interesting games to play other than first person horror games and we've played together only once or twice
Steam Deck too, I don't go around enough to justify playing on it

Street Fighter X Tekken is the most I've ever regretted buying a game. Holy FUCK that shit was awful.

It isn't bad it just doesn't feel like a necessary upgrade. I am not a fan of mid gen refreshes that are slightly more powerful at all and that's exactly what it is.

Even if I could I wouldn't waste the energy when I can get everything and more on PC. There isn't anything special about the ps5 that makes it worth hacking when basically every game is a download away on PC and modding is much easier too. Don't need to jump through hoops to hack a ps5 to achieve the same thing (but worse since ps5 versions are worse than what my pc can do)

i bought the same thing but waited for vr as a concept to tank to get it a little cheaper. even then, i consider it a waste of money as someone who is usually quite frugal in spending on themselves. i used it maybe 10 times and each time it just felt like i was playing a game or experience that would be much easier to enjoy with a mouse and keyboard, hell even on a nintendo wii where there's still motion tracking but the viewpoint is traditional. not to mention i never got over the motion sickness people describe, hit me after only 15 or 20 minutes of continuous use. vr was never going to take off and i'm mad i got suckered into it at all, though thankful i got the blow as soft as i could get it.

I managed motion sickness rather easily but I agree with what you're saying, plus the eye area of the headset gets too warm and I see this as the main flaw of these things, they are uncomfortable by design

I got everything to build a computer except for the GPU.
A year later and it’s still sitting there without a GPU, while a prebuilt with a 5090 would have been cheaper.
Always just buy a prebuilt and upgrade it. Building from scratch is stupid.

I actually owned a Razer Hydra which I managed to actually pass forward.

I got this + Smash Ultimate + Diablo 3.
Smash was god awful, couldn't get into it at all, managed to finish D3 though.
Downloading any games is a pain in the ass, takes forever and there's never any storage.
Games were all pieces of shit and extremely expensive, my sister lent me BotW and I got bored an hour in, terrible.
Thankfully after 7 months of gathering dust inside the box I managed to sell it off for the price I bought it.

I don't think people overrate the PS5, at most you get a 'I don't want to deal with PC and just want to pick up a controller and play' sort of admission. Sony fanboys don't even rave about exclusives anymore since there's so few, they are mostly derivative sequels, and they know they're gonna get ported elsewhere in a year or two anyway.

The PS5 is popular by default because the Xbox is a dead brand, Nintendo is still doing the bingbing wahoo tablet thing where you can't play any AAA games on it, and normalfags don't want a PC. It has nothing to do with being good.
