Used to be that you could speedrun the failed ritual ending super easy to satisfy half a dozen achievements at once, don't know if its changed.
Spine is temporary only and spider is esoteric/annoying enough that I can forgive not grabbing him. All the others on the floors are pretty easy with minimal optimization

guinea pig is a free get out of jail card of your choice so the only bosses you gotta fight is literally none.

hand in photo, empty bag give hampter to jasper and give the one with big bahoogas the empty tape from the convienence store.

if you are extremely good at avoiding you dont need to fight any enemies bar the prog gate on the third floor, a few fredpaintings and a mushroom guiy to get keys to the convenience store. if your crazy enough you could just go try and run away and avoid the massive shade in floor 4 to avoid fighting the mushroom guy which why would you do this.

I haven't beaten the game yet (though I've restarted it like 5 times), so I'm a little confused about where things go with her. I've witnessed two scenarios so far that don't lead to any sort of conclusion:

In similar situation as OP, finished the game last night with Perfected Ritual / Denial ending.

The final characters I got were: Sam, Sophie,Papineau, Hellen, Aster, Audrey and two punk kids that joined me one day before going out to the roof, so didn't get much use for them. .

From what I glanced in those threads, it seems I missed on over half of the characters/content, so it warrants 2nd playthrough on cursed difficulty. Any general advice you can give me to maximize on recruiting and encountering missable events?
Specifically, I'm interested in:
- time balancing - in my playthrough I spent majority of time outside of room, exploring and fighting while losing quite a lot of time by going to sleep late and oversleeping. Is it possible to spend the entire night outside room and carry on in the morning, or there are some sort of debuffs for missing sleep?
- Guest events - I guess those occur when staying at home, so I will need to spend more time playing vidya, right? I completed only 3 games and finished with 4 days left on my 1st playthrough, so should be doable.
- what timesinks to avoid?
- Do I need to go FAST in order to recruit some characters? If yes, what are the time gates during first 5 days?
- regarding iris keys and meat world, I found only one key (parking lot walls) which I used on the floor 3 TV, but found few other places where they could fit (Lyle's flat meat room, GF toilet, 2nd floor ocean, parking lot meat mass). Where do I find more keys? I get the feeling I missed most of Sybil questline because of it. .
- There were some key items I never ended using - last will, old photo, tongue, army man, mobile phone - what kind of questline they are for?

Every Fred but Shadow Fred has something for you if you kill the rest.
The first Fred you find gives you a paint palette for example which goes in your ranged slot and gives your melee attacks random status effects. Some are better than others, but I don't think any of them are as good as duplicating a coat of arms.
Notably Wriggly Fred lives in your fridge and helps you cook sometimes if you pick him, but none of them are playable characters or anything like that.

I did get to Apartment 12, but perhaps I missed something. I gave a name to the entity in the toilet and engaged in dialogue with few of the flesh monsters, but I was not able to progress further. The one in living room kept asking for something she was looking for, but I couldn't find shit. There were one doors which were supposed to be open from another side, but I never got there. The toilet also had some strange glitch where it had shown something sitting on it for 1/30th of a second when interacted.

I hate how game can brick you out of some of the exchangeable items because you ended up trading for the more common ones and then there was not enough enemies that would drop the rest. Happened to me with casettes and rat tails.

Yeah IMO the game does a good job of communicating if something is a bad idea. You might be apprehensive about Lyle for example and kissing him, but he's just awkward and pathetic. He really doesn't come across as malevolent, and warns you not to look at him.
Other times if something is a bad idea it makes it obvious, like when Sophie asks if she can play outside or Joel can go off to get his games or when Harriet comes back to the door and is obviously changed. If you fall for those it's your fault. Even the slime hat, I'll admit I didn't see the lil gobber hop in there, when I went in the other room first, and I did reload, but it's my fault for not paying attention.

If it's just you trying to fight him is an instakill, but if you've got party members Toxic Fred controls Sam as another enemy and you can beat him down
