You can simply wait for enemy to swing then you press LMB while targeting the opposite direction, boom tons of damage.
If you manage to apply the mace directly to the forehead it will most likely 1 shot your enemy as well but hitting is the hard part.

Barter a lot, also talk to virtually everyone about anything (there's several people who are good at holding relatively long conversations, like the bailiff or the gravekeeper). Sometimes if you know you're going to need to seriously convince someone its best to just wait and level speech by talking to good targets for a while.
Also if you know you're going to need to convince someone, make sure you're clean, dressed in your highest charisma gear, and use some mintha perfume. If you have level 8 survival you can also get the Flower Power perk to increase charisma when you have enough herbs in your inventory.

I really liked a lot of the immersive stuff the gameplay does. Things like not being able to sneak as well because people smell you. Going to a random house, killing the wife, then watching them call for a guard who does an investigation, and later seeing the husband crying outside. Not only that but the other npcs will walk by and say things like "my condolences" that kind of thing for a random npc in an open world is really good. Optimization for how it looks and how big it is is great. Its a great game but no please go on more about the .01% of the game that includes a nigger or a fag.

I didn't spoil myself. I just followed Vavra's twitter posts and saw he had a giant meltdown and yes "Yes we did add Musa and made Hans gay."

Because it was a worse game on all fronts. The first game starts with a closed tutorial that acts as a microcosm of the game's basic structure. This is how tutorials should work. You're quickly tasked with getting money from Kunesh, and there are about 4 ways you can do this. The second game starts with 3 hours of scripted and completely on rails segments. Then you get exposition dumped about the first game and have to listen to talking ghosts recapping the plot. Then Henry and Hans fight because you need a reason to split up. Then you finally get to start playing the game and you notice things like the combat being slightly casualized but they didn't fix things like lock on in a first person game being fundamentally stupid. The quest with the girl whose boyfriend got killed was okay, but then I had to go deal with smelly gypsys. At that point I looked at /v/ threads and saw Henry had a long lost jewish step brother, and you couldn't enter the cathedral even though they revealed the fucking game in it, and the game ended with your dad lecturing you about killing people, and you had the option to forgive and have drinks with Cumans. They absolutely raped the characterization and storytelling, and they dumbed down gameplay mechanics a bit. I'm not going to play a 100 hour game that I play for the writing and quests when it's worse than the first game on all fronts, and the writing itself is exceptionally bad.

Now you can cry that I actually play games and didn't like the second one. Hard mode for you is not being and handwaving faggot and pretending that turning it into a movie game for large chunks of it is fine or that the stuff with the cathedral doesn't actually matter or that inventing a fake pogrom to try to get pity for jews isn't shit writing.

It's been my GOTY all year beating out even Expedition 33. Only game I didn't stop and take breaks to play other stuff between sessions for 100 hours until I beat it. Skipped the first two DLC because the base game ending was just too cathartic to want to disturb going back, but now I'm contemplating buying the last one since it's specifically designed as an epilogue and people seem to love it.

The second one is just as good. Honestly my chief complaint was that for whatever reason it seemed like the NPC voice dialogue was slowed down, would have loved a mod that doubled the speed of dialogue.

It's kind of wild how well it runs for the routines it's running for the NPC's in the background. I met a dude at a bar with a funny accent who wanted me to retrieve his teams standard from another team that stole it. I put the quest off for a bit but eventually got it and went to turn it in he was waaay outside Kuttenburg working in a Quarry carving stone to the west of the city.
It was cool seeing the the residents actually having jobs and not just pathing from their houses to the inns/markets/etc. and back again. I even noticed there were even different NPC's cycling through the bathhouses and watching the tourneys at different times.
