Codes in a box are virtually non-existent outside of PC. Switch does it occasionally for random third party garbage, but even there it's rare.

Meanwhile, nearly all third party games on Switch 2 are game-key cards, with Pokopia setting a very scary precedent that it might be coming to more 1st party published games too. The difference between the Switch 1 and 2's physical game situation is night and day, you have to actively avoid those game-key cards because they are the MAJORITY of cart games.

That being said, both are fucking awful and this thread is shit.

I only buy physical copies. Many games o purchased on Xbox 360, Wii and PS3 are no longer available to download. Last time I ever make that mistake again.
