Interesting that it's a main deck level 12, those are rare.

These cards are all 2 card combos when Crimson and Vision resonator did all.

The secondary problem is that the end board is weak, if they had a way to at least get to any of the metalmorph cards so you can do something with the extra summon from Scar Archfiend on your opponent's turn, that also would make the deck more resilient.

King Crimson should had been this deck version of B-E Spirit Dragon. Something you can summon to play under Fuwa that translates into a Hot Red or Nova Dragon during your opponent's turn while also destroying a card on field or something.

Because the meta for modern yugioh is about not letting your opponent play the game at all. You floodgate them, negate them, hand rip them and handtrap them to keep them from playing. That's ignoring shit like banishing or popping your stuff that can let you get the effect off but it means you don't have the resource anymore.
Yugioh is just comparing hands now and has been for a long time and everything is decided by the first turn and who goes first, there is no back and forth unless people brick on hand traps and they're both playing tier 1 meta decks trading hand traps until one gets a starter off to go full combo.

The first head writer Atsuhiro Tomioka was there for episodes 1-24 (so, the Fortune Cup arc) and then he left the show, and Yoshida was head writer for episodes 25-final. Yoshida was then absent most of the time for preWRGP except for Sherry and Bruno episodes because of Bonds Beyond Time, and then when he returned the WRGP started.

The problems of part 2 isn't from complete rewrites, it was from the fact the characters' arcs were already pretty much completed by the end of Dark Signers. Episode 64 was their originally planned story ending. They were like a battery that's used up all its energy. In part 2, there's like no connections there for Jack and Crow to tie them to the main antagonists of Yliaster because they couldn't scratch out whole new material to force it to happen. Instead, completely new characters like Bruno, Sherry, Placido/Apora were the ones who were tightly knit with the Yliaster crew.
The the writers basically used preWRGP and a side arc like Crashtown to buy time to plan out the "real" part 2 where suddenly the show's effort levels go back up again (which is like episodes 106-154), whether or not someone personally likes the results of that effort with the characters and story

Unironically, the reason archetypes are fucked up in terms of what counts as part of them or not, is because of the OCG.

They randomly flip-flop between using the Japanese word for something and using a transliteration from English.
And if they're feeling kinky, they use a pun.

Like they use "Yugo" sometimes for "Fusion" cards, and sometimes just write "Fyujon".
There's no way to future-proof against this kind of practice.
You can only look in hindsight and try to carve out an archetype.

I like Primite as a concept (kinda) but it seems pretty underpowered unless you're just using it with Blue-Eyes, which at this point would be worse with it anyway. Even with the recyclable negate it's somewhat fragile and not especially high-powered since feeding normal monsters into the GY isn't all that practical. Am I missing something or is it kind of a dead end?
