Been doing some open rooms in the wild and my aces may be half baked but fuck if there’s not a ton of strong S umas in the wild loaded with skills. For once my late is struggling to maintain position. Taiki is incredibly strong. A well made late can do well but you might want some mid race skills so you’re not stuck 9th unable to pass or win the pump iron lottery. It’s brutal out there man. And Mile S is important you bet your bottom dollar.

This is how it is for everyone, even really strong umas. They have better "luck" but they can still get fucked by an uma far lower ranking without capped speed or even mile/turf S. Sometimes the race just plays out a certain way where even the strongest get screwed. Cancer was very gambling heavy, I'm sure this will be no different. Late gamblers seem to thrive, with pace doing much better than they did in Cancer. Suzuka is everywhere so it's rare to see a front actually survive. Those Taishins I saw earlier were also insane, she must be better.

I more just want to see what I'm capable of, and there's actually many trainees I want to train up but just don't have the TP for it. A decently built Suzuka doesn't gas out when alone. You're confusing lack of stamina with the fact that runaway has abysmal top speed late race and no skill budget for any late race skills. Runaways just get lapped by other styles in late race, especially with the plentiful accel skills available now.

It's kind of sad how just the free pulls bolstered my supports so much. I must have really wasted a lot of carats early on rolling for umas, but I don't really remember. I went into this game blind like 2 weeks after kitasan banner so I was fucked anyways. At least now I have MLB SR speed cards

The question was about 2LB though which gives basically nothing, those 3LB and MLB are the big boosts. Hard to say. I think her unique is pretty good, possibly better than both of those options. She has access to Furious Feat and some other stuff, so she’s similar to Vodka. What’s worse about her is she has a 15% guts growth and zero power growth. Other 15% goes to speed which is nice but Vodka has better growths (speed and power). Paizuri might edge her when built right, but any strong late will do.

You know who I think is secretly good or maybe it’s not so secret is Gold City as a late. Ive seen her win a lot of rooms. I dont know if they’re just dedicated trainers or what but she seems strong. Then again, even Nice Nature can destroy as a late when built right.

I feel like a decent chunk of the umas are unexplored simply because there aren't a lot of anons who care enough to try building them (or who own them at all, in the case of some of the 3*s). Especially since we have so little time to prepare for each CM, which means most players will gravitate towards building umas they already know are strong and/or easy to build.
Wouldn't be surprised if there were a couple sleeper picks waiting to be discovered. Kinda like turf Falco, except probably not as dominant.

She has Mile Maven as her potential 5 ability. That way if you join team Carrot, you can also get No Stopping Me, and then Taiki's innate Mile Maven is there guaranteed.

Mile Maven gives you a little speed boost at the start of the match, which allows your pace to be in good position to pass the fronts later on and prevent yourself from getting blocked.

No Stopping me is nimble navigator and only activates if you're blocked, but when it does go off it gives you a pretty big boost and allows you to pass the others. It's way more inconsistent though.

Head On seems pretty good, but you can also just RNG it I'm pretty sure as well. But you should try and do the secret event as it gives you a bunch of stats too. The straight descent and prepared to pass also seem good for paces as well. Definitely grab It's On! too, tail held high if you can find it. professor of curvature will actually trigger on the final corner this time, they fixed it. It's really good now. But it might trigger early on too, but anything to get your pace to the front is good.

Well it doesn't always go off in the races I've done, but Mile Maven pretty much always goes off at the start is what I mean. No stopping me definitely seems good and I recommend running BOTH for Taiki. When it goes off it really helps her get ahead. If you had to choose between one or the other, No Stopping Me kicks in at the end of the race whereas Maven is early on, so factor that in if you have to choose a team. You could do Mile Maven and then just grab nimble navigator which is pretty common to run into randomly

You probably wanna build vodka or grass for a late because they have the good accel skills built in. The best comp that works with them is either 3 speed 2 wit 1 riko or 3 speed 1 wit 1 power 1 riko (I use this one), so In your case it should look something like

Or if you wanna build grass

I've seen Suzuka in all of these rooms, even with Maru. More people have Suzuka than they do S. Maru as well. I think you'll see her quite a bit. Maru can still win but Suzuka is definitely a thorn in her side. I'm seeing more lates and Taikis win than I am S. Marus, that's for sure

Everyone's in the same boat as you. With so little time to prepare, a lot of people have to be scrambling or phoning it in.

Only the lucky ones who adapt quickly to the new scenario will have a leg up. I think most people will be at a disadvantage here, but the randomness of the race should even things out a bit. If you have a strategy at all, you're a step ahead of most people imo.

I actually saw that in one of these rooms. His S. Maru won but I needed to take a closer look at the abilities. It seemed much different from your average front build. Will No Stopping Me really act as a substitute for angling and shooting?

Either way It seems hard to pull off consistently, but a really interesting strat. I think the rabbit is better to enable a strong pace or late as they can better utilize the killing of other fronts, but it is neat that a front can also pass the suzuka and continue front running. Much easier to pull off with a pace chaser though. Taiki is way more consistent I've found, and that Daiwa earlier followed a very similar blueprint to what's making Taiki strong.

In the beginning people were saying that shooting to victory might not be worth inheriting for this race, but it's actually proving to be quite strong. If I were a pace I'd grab that because it's going off consistently if you're in fifth. It's one of many abilities you should grab, but worth grabbing nonetheless.

I have No Stopping Me on my Taiki and it allowed me to win one race today. Looks like straight descent is good for that downhill. Prepared to pass and head on worth grabbing. It's On definitely seems good for pace too. Curvature is still good and can activate on the final corner now. Naturally mile corners and pace chaser corners are great too, and she had double pace corners and curvature

I think that the whole staminamaxxing stuff is bullshit, that's why you only see suzukas in 8th or 9th place after fighting to death with another one. I think the reason suzuka doesn't win more often is because the current scenario doesn't give her the stats required to win, and the only acceleration option front runners have is angling and scheming while lates and paces can stack 0.80 acceleration like it's nothing

Do a race without Suzuka and let Maru or any front get off angling and so long as their speed is maxed, they accelerate just fine. Suzukas are gassing, but they're also preventing others from getting angling and scheming off
