the 5.2l swap out of latest hurracan is one of best engines but 5.2l v10 in r8 is garbage shift at redline, however the r8 built to s800 numbers isn't too bad, at least on par to what i can get out of my usual lambos but it needs to take on the gt-r motor so it might not be as nice to drive

the anti geometry can't just be set like this regardless of what a car is, i thought it depended on weight distribution, but no, when i was tuning m8b and r3xx for s class i had to settle for anti squat around 0-15 which is normally used for mr cars sure, but i had to ballast the cars to fit them into s class and they turned out 50-50 which would suggest fr style tuning
the trait they exhibited was ungodly understeer with little throttle but then when i floor it whils just spin and drift out
by properly utilizing anti dive on mr cars you can both make the rears lock and slide out and front wheels start pushing from acceleration, oversteer and understeer neutralize each other and you get that sweet slip angle controlled with throttle, but not strong enough to quickly overwhelm you
anti dive is only used to control rwd car under brakes, use it to adjust your balance after brake balance is set

The 970 Evo is a shit drive and it's likely it's what caused all your issues to begin with. The newer samsung nvme m.2 drives are a lot better but that one for some reason had some really fuckin retarded firmware issues.

We are still driving the 2016 GT3 lineup over here. Forza does so much better in this respect, yes the models may not be as intricately detailed, but many of us would rather a superior lineup of vehicles... IMO forza has been doing very well with its updates recently and ive been playing more than GT, even if it still has some ways to go

but when forza looks nice, it really does look nice
on tracks. GT goes for more realism and likeness to the real tracks. this means some have splotchy looking shrubs and shitty trees but that's how it is irl. this is noticable on some tracks where ideal line is a bit off from the racing line, like maple valley after the big straight hill climb and when braking into the downhill left hander, when track is fully rubberized ideally you drive it like double apex, first you brake all the way to the edge of the track, there it grips up and you turn and accelerate for 2nd apex and exit, but before the outside getts rubberized you're just losing time there

How do I tune Vauxhall Corsa to not feel like an understeery piece of shit? I tried drift tires, ARB and diff set to max oversteer, but nothing helps. On the other hand, I saw some dudes in the Trial drive them like RWD muscle cars and with more speed even though they were drifting everywhere. But then again, they only started driving like that after we lost the first race so maybe it wasn't tuning.

It was just a random midrange(?) pick that supports AM5 for the 9800, though I guess it was almost as expensive as the CPU itself
Getting the computer running was actually a bit of a bitch, I had to reset the CMOS to even make it work. The 870 boards come with a handy "Reset CMOS" button on the back though, which makes me wonder if they knew ahead of time. Could be worse I guess

If you crank all the settings up and can run it at a decent resolution it's a pretty good looking game. Even if you can't crank them all the way up it's far from ugly. I can run it on max settings at 1440p with raytracing on high but I only get about 30fps and that's just not good enough to be competitive with so I turn most of them down to low and get 75-82.5fps instead. Anything lower than 60fps is going to feel like shit and cost you time because of how the engine works.

Drag racing in forza games is unmitigated shit. Even some of the need for speed titles did it better. It is objectively the straightest form of racing possible but there is nowhere near enough granularity in tuning to make it anything like reality in forza titles and that includes fm8. Also, why the fuck are nitrous oxide kits not a thing in forza? Would add a whole new level of strategy. Same with being able to run different types of fuel than just race gas.

They needs a drag chassis option for each car. It would allow a huge range of engine swaps and it's own suspension options. The chassis would also unlock nitrous and extra lightening options. They should naturally smoke everything in a straight line but be inept at handling. That way people don't just use them in regular races. The drag race chassis would be the key. It would then be easy to do as deep as they wanted into making classes.

Allow finer tuning of tire pressures, have adjustable fuel maps, make a dedicated drag suspension, as already mentioned add in nitrous oxide kits and allow different fuel types, allow tuning of fuel ratios for stuff like nitromethane, have temperature affect grip level and power output, introduce prepped surfaces and different types of transmissions like powerglides and airshifters and direct drive with tunable clutches. There have been dedicated drag racing games going back to the ps1 era and literally all they have to do is play them and copy the features over and add some things to the game to do a pretty decent job of it.

It's mostly a bunch of math and tuning autism when you really boil it down. If they really wanted to make it difficult they could enable damage, and if they REALLY wanted to do something special they could do oval drags where you actually have to turn and be able to handle.

That's it. I'm sick of all this "Masterwork Drywall" bullshit that's going on in the construction system right now. Plaster walls deserve much better than that. Much, much better than that.

I should know what I'm talking about. I myself commissioned a genuine plaster wall in Germany for 2,400 Euros (that's about $20,000) and have been practicing with it for almost 2 years now. I can even break bones of my hand when punching it.

European masons spend years working on a single wall and fold it up to a million times to produce the finest partitions known to mankind.

Plaster walls are thrice as resistant as American walls and thrice as hard for that matter too. Anything a drywall can stop, a plaster wall can stop better. I'm pretty sure a plaster wall could easily stop a nigger trying to break in by just existing.

Ever wonder why Europe never has tens of thousands of people lose everything they had each year to tornadoes? That's right, the tornadoes are afraid of disciplined European masons and their plaster walls of durability. Even in World War II, German soldiers targeted buildings first because their stopping power was feared and respected.

So what am I saying? Plaster walls are simply the best walls that the world has ever seen, and thus, require better stats in the construction system. Here is the stat block I propose for plaster walls:

I set up my NLR 2.0 wheelstand the other day, here's the final result

Overall really nice. Stops my pedals from escaping from me in longer races, stops my wheel from shaking shit off my desk, and since I left the feet off the bottom of it I can slide it across the carpet to get it out of the way. If you want to do the storage thing you can also relatively easily fold it up and lean it against a wall, but I'm pretty happy to just leave it sitting out of the way for now.

I also bought some gloves but they're shit and I can't feel anything through them so I bought some proper simracing ones too

What FM actually lacks is the feeling of weight to the car, which leads to the feeling that the tire model isn't good. If you hop on ACC you'll find a GT3 car is just as willing to spin out on corner exit as it is in FM. It's just that you won't make it do that because you can feel how the car is working.

FM doesn't have that luxury because it handles 20 classes of cars instead of 1 (3, really, but who the fuck is playing GT2/GT4 in ACC).

100 is the hardcap and it halves your monitor refresh rate so if it's less than 200 you'll only get less than 100fps even if you're running it uncapped. I have a 165hz monitor so I get 82.5fps and it's plenty competitive. Really so long as you're getting at least 60fps you'll be okay but higher is obviously preferable and much like in fh5 the higher the fps you can run the faster you will be, although it's not as pronounced as in fh5 where you can gain several seconds of laptime going from 60fps to 120fps+

It's more like a one second difference between 60 and 100fps in fm8 on a track with a ~2 minute laptime. How much of that is due to the game updating nearly twice as fast versus the handling feeling much better at higher fps making it easier to be fast I cannot say.

there really is no pace advantage at higher fps though, 60 and 90 are beneficial because they have more (bump) grip, but even then the results at 6 and 9 bump were also very consistent too so it's not like your bump even needs to be high
i did all this using meta fwd tune with which i am comfortable saying i can get max pace lap within 5 tries (and track used was sunset which is also very flat and doesn't require "nuance")

The REAL answer is turning the settings down for the game on console so that it can run at 100fps if the player so chooses. That that isn't an option even on the xbone sex is retarded as fuck. some more findings regarding production car tuning
s class engine to beat is the lambo v10 (5.2l), but when not available there seems to be no real difference between dodge v10, chevy v8 and gt-r v6 (when it comes to pi efficiency i mean, all of them have different power), but unlike lambo v10 that revs super high and has smooth power delivery all of those other engines have somewhat ill power delivery that makes the tunes never right... that is untill you put heavy rims on, i settled for 2nd heaviest (momos look kind of nice for many s class cars) and sudenly the added inertia acts like a throttle input filter of sorts, and while i couldn't make the car stop oversteering on throttle with lightest rim for hours, the tune was just fixed with heavier rims
ofc this applies for every class

Really depends on how fast you're going and what kind of tires you're on. If you're hauling ass on race tires you can do 90% or more brake application and you won't lock your tires even running 130% brake pressure.

all of this about weight balance & front tyres, it is made invalid by the fact this behaviour happens when you go slow and have 0 weight transfer from braking... shift up to higher gears and your car will not turn in as much, it is pretty much an instant change, same as downshifting when you're mod rpm around a long curve, you can see your deadass tune won't turn anymore and your sticks all the way right, ooop shift down & the car just YANKS itself into the turn more

playing with high bumps i came to realization, every car has exactly one perfect tune, where it drives perfectly neutral, whenever you have predictability issues your tune is not well supported, and when you run high bump and 100% accel 0% deccel the car will quickly show these inconsistencies, unlike the more "mellow" tunes which sometimes absorb the oversteer moment and other times not

Why are opens in Horizon not available for C class?

Since Horizon 6 is essentially announced already, I suppose I should go about making a new personal livery for myself. It will probably take a few months to finish.
