I'm playing NA13 Ascension, I started as a vassal of Murakami Yoshikiyo, after developing my hold I was promoted to chamberlain and after dealing with the Unno I was made lord of Toishi castle, after snatching Yukitata Sanada I was an offer by Nobutora Takeda to betray the Murakami which I did. Then I destroyed the Nagao and recently the Date who took all the north, now I have to deal with the Hojo who control Kanto. Also I married Yukitata daughter so all the Sanada are family now

>>525907437lizard brain tier take, why wouldnโt you want to see how it ends no matter how painful
>>525914647I mean, he's not the only one. There's a lot of people who don't really care about the lead into the Jin Dynasty. For them, interest in the Three Kingdoms ends at Wuzhang Plains.
>Aid Katsuie and rescue Oichi mission
>find Sakuma Morimasa benevolent grave
Well I certainly didnโt know that when time for them runs out they have a line to spout, thatโs nice. Iโll have to run around the earlier stages to find others like this.
>>525914647In his interview he mentioned how the period after Zhuge Liang's death is something only the western audience is actually interested in. Japan and China in general don't care.
>>525907437based Sho putting Jinshitters in their place, Origins Part 2 and all future mainline DW games will end at Wuzhang Plains. The characters will likely still appear in spin-offs, maybe empires, but story wise Jin probably won't ever be covered again in the main games.
>>525915605>>525918071They just donโt want to acknowledge that their Chinese losers get steamrolled by BBC (big barbarian cavalry) within 50 years of unification

>>525914647I don't care about Jin, also I don't want the games to follow history no matter what you do because it's boring
>>525918060Oh yeah, some do. It's a cool detail
>>525907437Hmm, on one hand, no Jin means the games can focus more on what's widely considered the most interesting period of the Three Kingdoms, as well as open room for hypotheticals. On the other hand as Sho notes, no Yuanji. It's a tough choice

do we expect anything at Summer Games Fest, or is it too western centric?
Sho said he wants to appeal to the west, but I think there's a strong chance we won't get any Origins hypothetical DLC so don't really expect to see anything at SGF.
So I'm doing a Cao Cao campaign and the last story battle I had ( I've side missions to get people's training or whatever bonding things you call them completed) was with Lu Bu attempted to take over the Home Base Line( apparently back campaign in real life lasted like a hundred days for Cao Cao) I remember they're supposed to be hypothetical scenarios when do I need to worry about the first battle that will affective if Cao Cao gets his hypothetical scenario?
>>525961870Hypotheticals are very small in Origins and based entirely on saving key figures from their historical deaths, which is just achieving difficult tasks (for a first playthrough) in the missions they die. So no, you don't have to worry about that battle.

If Lingqi was playable in Origins we would be booming.
>>525914647from the perspective of the devs look at it this way: if you need to create a ton of new characters solely for the boring second half of the story, and the only way to redeem it would be massively fictionalizing the events, why not just do what-if stories with the existing first half everyone already loves
If you have ever danced in your life you should kill yourself
>>525962770I feel I would have been vastly more interested in WO4 if they had updated the really outdated movesets, such as the characters whose kit date back to DW3.

Other than Lu Bu, how many enemies can counter parry you in Origins?
>>526023635>>526023854Since Lu Bu would already be dead in the sequel they should just give that ability to max courage officers instead of giving them massive health bars
>>526025832Or maybe just enemy officers when they're supposed to be monstrous for a given stage, like Zhang Liao at Hefei or Gan Ning at Ruxukou. Although a DW game without Lu Bu just feels wrong, historical accuracy be damned.
>>526016301Konishi fucking own him here. Honestly I'm liking that guy more and more with everything I read about him, make him playable for the next SW

>>526087627Sheโs so terrible to play
>>525907437there's more dudes they can add to the existing timeline before even getting to the Sima clan stuff later on. Hell I'd rather they go backwards and focus on stuff earlier on in the period than later, at least at first.
>>526091916Having just finished playing a map with her, I have to say that she feels very nerfed compared to her WO3U version.
But then again, in WO3U I had her completely decked out with maxed out things like Agility, Blast, Windslay and equipped with items that allowed her to sidestep cancel and jump cancel her charge attacks.
Speaking of which, I don't like how DW8 removed the different classes that were in WO3U (Power, Speed, Technique, Wonder). It felt so good being able to do wonder charge cancels with Wonder characters or double jump with speed characters.
Anyway, I'll wait until I have my wife properly geared up in DW8 before I render my final views on her in this game.
On a different topic: Why did they make this guy so fucking plain and ugly?
>>526094863>On a different topic: Why did they make this guy so fucking plain and ugly?Who, Ling Tong? He's a big beautiful boy and you're not even showing us his good side.
>>526094863>I don't like how DW8 removed the different classes that were in WO3U (Power, Speed, Technique, Wonder)You sort of have that with Whirlwind/Dash/Dive/Shadow Sprint, but you don't unlock those skills until Lv25 in DW8, which is late in the campaign unless you grind in advance.

>>526097125Who? Anon there's only Ling Tong in your last image.
>>526097125I should warn you, the weapon abilities in DW8 aren't as involved as the classes in WO3.
>Whirlwind creates a mini tornado around your character every other attack, allowing you to play more aggressively, but it's completely passive. >Dash is your regular jump cancel and air dash combo.>Dive allows you to escape getting hit or iframe out of enemy combos by pressing the jump button. Doesn't really help you on the higher difficulties, where your biggest threat is getting one shot from offscreen by enemy Musou attacks.>Shadow Sprint allows you to cancel a charge attack by pressing the normal attack button, allowing for easy infinite combos with some weapons.
>>526102045Heh. Took me too long to get it.
>>526102626At least these things are bound to weapons instead of specific characters. So I'm guessing that every character has access to all of these abilities?
>>526106339Sort of. Every character has compatibility with different weapon types, and under normal circumstances can only use the skill of a weapon that matches their preferred weapon type at Lv25 and up. However, you can equip skills to give any character temporary 4-star compatibility with any weapon. Explore the skill menu to find out more.
>>526094863>Speaking of which, I don't like how DW8 removed the different classes that were in WO3U (Power, Speed, Technique, Wonder). The different class types was always more of a Warriors Orochi mechanic. The mainline DW and SW games don't have it.

>>526137895Guan Yu, that's not how you score a touchdown.
There's gonna be a Sony State of Play soon, what are the chances of them announcing an Origins DLC or Abyss next update?
I just want the Switch 2 to be get a port of DW Origins and have it be able to run at 1080p/60fps in handheld mode. If it can do that, then it can run every other SW/DW/WO game at 1080p/60fps, and I'll always have something to play while idling in transit.
>>526162081Leaked footage of the port
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0IXlWT0yHU
Though realistically the CPU is going to be the bigger bottleneck for a Switch 2 port than the GPU
>>526157537abyss will get more at some point, but I think there's a higher chance of origins not getting any DLC than there is of it getting some. I wouldn't mind a hypothetical for lu bu or whatever, but I think they'll just quickly start on the sequel instead.
>>526157537Origins Lingqi route dlc
>>526173250Sho's already teasing new content on twitter that paired with the weapon polls they did a month or so ago point to DLC being more than likely
>>526137895Are the Kessen games worth playing in this day and age, or were they always just the movie games with a faint veneer of strategy laid over?
lvling bodyguards in dw3xl is so tedious. Get them through to the end of the stage and then the enemy commander kills them in 2 hits and they get zero XP if they don't survive the stage.
>>526183548what new content has sho teased for Origins?
I know he did a weapons poll a few months ago I haven't seen him say anything related to new content for origins since the "big" update that turned to be a useless photo mode and 1 costume.
>>526190112I started playing a few days ago and they've only gained points on one stage, I'll probably have to lower the difficulty and go into free mode if I want them to get a single level
>>526190112>>526195719Set them to Shield or Defend and they will just guard around you the whole time, drastically increasing their survivability

realistically, how long until Origins Part 2? Part 1 was in development for quite a few years. We're only 2 - 2.5 years away from the next gen of gaming, so Origins:P2 could very well be an early PS6 title as it's slated for late 2027.
>>526260441There was a large gap because Koei cancelled DW10 and used some assets for Origins.
>>526240839Good god, I hope they do the same thing Nioh 2 did by having an epilogue set AFTER the events of the predecessor game. It'll be both a prequel and a sequel.
Don't worry, Warriorsbros. Since we didn't get a DWO DLC update even at this State of Play event, that means that they're already working on a sequel or a possible SW Origins game.
It means we can stop crossing our fingers for a DWO expansion DLC, since at this point it's crystal clear in that it's not being made. In a way, we can finally have peace of mind.

It just felt uncalled for, especially coming from someone who serves under a man (Hideyoshi) who was born a fucking peasant. >>526379602I suppose the primary difference is that Konishi couldn't have Kato's entire bloodline removed from the gene pool just for talking smack.
This has got to be the worst mission in DW8 so far.
So insanely buggy in terms of event triggers and so much backtracking.
The gate you see flashing on the left didn't open until I went and crossed an invisible tripwire in the environment. I assumed I could pre-emeptively wait at the game because at that point I figured out that I needed to be ready to destroy any enemy ballistae that was in the way of our ram.
Also, I guess it didn't help that I'm using Wang Yi, an utterly dogshit character.
>Her C2 EX move is trash on officers because the start-up animation takes so long that an officer hit by the first normal attack before the C2 has enough time to get out of blockstun and block the entire string of the C2 EX attack
>Her first and second musou attacks whiff enemy officers so easily and basically do nothing at all if they miss (ZERO crowd control potential)
>Her third musou attack has crowd control, but is so goddamn narrow in its AOE
I will never use this character again after this mission is over.
>>526383957Oh, and lest I forget: Her EX2 start-up animation is so slow that officers will often block the "grab" and just render the entire EX attack obsolete, so you have to deliberately target weak fodder enemies and hope that the flash grazes the officer's hitbox.
Wang Yi was great in WO3. They made her so shit in this game, in large part due to the bigger overall problems of officers being more block-happy than they ever have been in SW4, SW5 and WO3U. They will constantly block your attacks and even full musous.
Mind you, this is on Normal difficulty. I cannot imagine how insanely cancerous officers will be on the hardest difficulty.
>>526384512>block the "grab"I thought the whole point of most grab moves in fighting games is that they're unblockable? Mickey Mouse bullshit like this is why I didn't bother playing as three quarters of the cast in 8.
>>526386946I hate to sound like a broken record, but once again, WO3 got this right despite coming out 2 years before DW8.
Characters like Sophitia in WO3 had grabs that enemy officers just couldn't block.
And since we're on the topic of how much DW8 is an utter downgrade compared to WO3, here's another thing that DW8 fumbled: The sense of fluidity from dash attacks into C2 attacks.
In WO3, you could sprint, do a dash attack, and immediately go into a C2 attack. The entire process was fluid.
In DW8, if you sprint and do a dash attack, you cannot immediately go into a C2 attack. You have to wait until the recovery animation of the dash attack was over, then do a single normal attack, and then you get to do a C2 attack.
It's so retarded.
>>526387645But then on the flip side it's ridiculously easy to cancel combos using the switch attack and its iframes, to the point that being stuck in a big crowd of officers is better than 1v1 because you can switch attack/counter your way to victory.
>>526389046You mean the R1 weapon switching attack?
I don't like that move, because that fucks up your positioning, often making you face away from the officer you're trying to hit, forcing you to turn around and restart your combo from scratch so that you can get the charge attack you desire (something that could have been fixed if this game had dodge offset to continue charge combo sequences after dodging like in Warriors Abyss).
If this is the optimal way of clearing crowds of officers, then I'm not still on board DW8 and think its combat is marked step down compared to WO3, which offered tremendous freedom in how you could use your attacks to deal with officers and crowds.
Not to mention I hate the R1 switch because, depending on the enemy officer, it can result in you getting the shit weapon affinity with the giant exclamation mark that gives the enemy officer insane hyper armor against your attacks. So you either have to wait for him to do a blue attack that you can counter with an R1 switch back to your original weapon, or you switch back to your original weapon anyway.
It feels very stiff.
>>526379602>What could have provoked this kind of pettiness from Kiyomasa?Isn't it just because Kiyomasa hates Christians?
>>526387645>It's so retarded.Different game, different design philosophy. I won't argue that DW8's combat structure isn't worse than WO3U, because it definitely is, but I think you're going to have a really bad time with DW8 if you keep comparing it to WO3U.
>>526371229Shut the fuck up zhenji
>>526383957>Wang Yi, an utterly dogshit characterSkill issues, literally one of the best and most fun characters. It's unbelievable that you're having troubles which such a brain dead game like DW8

>3.Their territories were literally next to each other, one had the northern half of Higo province (on Kyลซshลซ) and the other had the southern half. I believe even if Sekigihara didnโt happen, one would have ended up killing each other in a border war.
>4.They were both different people when it came to fighting and itโs not a slight against Yukinaga here but he was definitely more a negotiator, Kiyomasa was a militarist and more than ready to skewer the problem as was shown in Korea.
As an addendum, it shouldnโt be surprising that Kiyomasa felt vindicated in his feelings during the war. At the start, Yukinaga was supposed to wait for his other allied divisions after taking Busan but didnโt and immediately advanced to the capital. Whether this was a fuck you to Kiyomasa and or wanted to blitzkrieg the Koreans into surrender with minimal loss of life is up for interpretation, Kiyomasa took it as and called it out as Yukinaga being a glory hog.

>>526431562I don't believe you. Take this charlatan outside and execute him.
Koei probably would've been announced here if they were going to do something at SGF. Maybe one of their games under another publisher will be shown, like NG4 under Xbox, but I doubt we'll see any of their self-published games.
>>526445413Welp. Wrap it up. Omega Force are not announcing anything.
Since Nintendo is listed there, the only hope I have is maybe a new gameplay trailer for that Hyrule Warriors sequel being made by KT's new subsidiary.
trailer for chronicles medieval at SGF looks cool. Always thought koei are leaving money on the table by not making a more immersive DW game and setting it in medieval europe or the british isles
>>526453981>trailer for chronicles medieval at SGF looks cool.>almost no gameplay>looks coolDunno about that.
>>526376202>PW5 could have come out when Onigashima endedThe made PW2 with original story.
Wano/Onigashima was 4 years
and there's a lot of Wano content that wasn't in base PW4.
They could've release 5 when Egghead ended in the manga,
anime it's not an excuse.
And in the case anime was an excuse,
that doesn't excuse the lack of communication.
>>526467959They should be working on the game already.
The systems at least should be in place,
then adding characters or content
shouldn't be a problem because there's extensive source material.
My copium and hopium was that the content they released as DLC for 4
was just content they had been working on for 5.
But then they announced more DLC for 4 and a next gen update.
That was weird as hell, and it doesn't give me much hope.
>>526453981I'm hoping it'll be something like that but I could barely tell because like the other anon said, nobody shows gameplay in their trailers.

Sometimes I have to remind myself what these games actually looked like at the time and not spruced up in emulators
>>526501120Hyper looks soooo good, but they just had to make it incomplete
>>526501120KT's Warriors games didn't get good art direction until Samurai Warriors 4.
Every other game prior to that just ages poorly in terms of visuals. And mind you, I'm not just talking strictly about graphics. I'm talking about art direction. KT's Warriors games have just been ugly for most of their history. The first Dynasty Warriors game I'd say looks actually beautiful in terms of art is Origins.
Meanwhile, I could pick up old PS2 games like Maximo Ghosts to Glory or Okami, and they'd still look great on emulator to this day even without any upscaling.
>>526511687Pang Hui-kun...
>>526459434>>526478162Pretty obvious what its going to be from the last 20 seconds of the trailer with all the enemy troop formations as he looks over the ridge and that HUD, it's a Mount&Blade competitor. Just checked their website:-
>"step into a vast, dynamic medieval sandbox. Create your character and forge your path from rags to riches. Engage in intense combat, fight for land, glory, and legacy, and lead massive armies into epic, large-scale battles."The rest of the info on the site makes it sound even more mount&bladey. It's about time that franchise got some real competition as while bannerlord was fine and sold over 5 million copies, they simply ignored player demands for more depth and modders had to do things the dev's should've done. I'd love a DW spin-off that tried this kind of battle approach with proper formations, no anti-player bias for amy size & morale, and more realistic combat (without being a true sim). So at the end of a stage instead of KO'ing 2000 easily like you're just mowing the lawn, you might end up with 100 - 200 KOs, but they'd be far more meaningful kills.

>Sho intentionally gave Lu Bu buff to a Gate Captain
Do musou games have to be insanely grindy as fuck?
Even if [insert musou game you like here] had every character's level maxed out, you'd still enjoy a good 100+ hour game playing through all story missions on the hardest difficulty and completing all objectives.
And that's assuming you're only rotating through a handful of characters. You can easily get 5-6 times as much playtime trying to play every mission with each character.
Early and mid game in these games is just miserable. You have a slow character with a shit weapon, with shit items to equip, and a shit and slow horse.
>>526498084What you're going to do about it, pussy?

>>526527561That's hilarious he acknowledges that someone accidentally swapped SSX's health with the gate captain nearby, I guess it was a funny joke on the dev team
I don't understand build optimization in this game, but I sure as hell know that getting a setup that allows me to summon specific officers with literally zero cooldown even if I use the speed summon shortcut is broken as fuck. I was able to endlessly summon Yukimura and melt the shields of bosses in seconds, all while constantly maxing out my musou gauge.
I've noticed an overlap between DW fans and wrestling fans... whats the link?
>>526526776>Mount&BladeStill a shame what happened with Butterlord. Hoping this game fills the niche. Even if it doesn't, it's still good that it got a competitor though, I see the same with some indie stuff that's been stagnant as of late, and I'm always glad for a competitor to come around and give them a swift kick to the rear.
Just a shame I can't think of many games that attempts to fill the same niche as musou. Would be nice to see something like 99 Nights or KUF again.

>>526628440I enjoyed 3Z but I'm also saying that as someone that enjoyed 3.

Oh what the fuck, I just read Zhou Yu's passives.
So the reason why I've been able to melt bosses and get fast clears with him was because he literally has a 30 percent passive damage buff against bosses.
I think I'll be using him as my first traversal 6 character.
Is there a recommended cumulative level progression for each traversal level? Like, if I want to tackle traversal 2, what is my recommended cumulative level? 100? 150?
>>526645734In my experience, LV300+ for T5 is doable, LV200+ for some of the more broken characters lik Nobunaga or Mature Yukimura, and T6 pretty much requires LV500.
Now that I'm more aware of the Sengoku period, SW is a really strange game all things considered.
>>526645995Thanks. What about T2? My cumulative level is currently 59 for Zhou Yu. When can I move up? Should I grind until I'm at cumulative LV100?

70+ hours into SW4, don't feel like getting every secret weapons and the chronicle mode is beyond boring. probably will get just 1 secret weapon for achievement and call it a day.
I spent the last few weeks finishing nier automata instead, that was pretty nice but I didn't have the patience getting every achievements so I just bought the rest. currently moving to DMC5.
>>526854068>don't feel like getting every secret weapons and the chronicle mode is beyond boring. Can't imagine doing either of these.
Getting secret weapons is tedious as fuck (and there's no way of knowing how to get them unless you look up a YouTube video), and I stopped Chronicle Mode after about 3 battle nodes. Which sucks, because I probably spent a good hour or so customizing my custom character.
Is the full game of DW: Origins much better than the demo? It's $45 on Newegg so I was thinking of buying it, but replaying the demo has me on the fence. The camera is pretty bad and I felt like it was hard to evade officer attacks in the middle of battle because I just can't see what they're doing past the foot soldiers.
A few other questions: how many soulslopian bosses are there? How long is the game?
>>526863806I'd recommend turning off the camera reset when block is pressed and turning up the sensitivity, camera control is pretty important and the lock-on is fairly situational since it's not hard to direct your attacks. There's an option in the full game (I don't know if it's in the demo, I think it was added post-launch) to make it so yourself and enemy officers are outlined at all times in crowds, without it the enemy officers still get highlighted when they're attacking and you're the target. If your boss question is referring to Lu Bu, there really isn't much else like him. There's only one other proper boss in the game, 2 if you count the end of Cao Cao's route. My first route took around 40 hours, the subsequent routes won't be that long because the branches start from chapter 3. I played it on both console and PC, I had 106 hours by the time I 100%'d the first time and around 80 hours the second time.
>>526864859Thanks for the info bro, I think I'll grab it, since it sounds like my hangups are mostly non-issues in the full game and there's a decent chunk of content.

>>525920259>Deng Ai got sick of his shit and just march straight to the capital of Shu through an alternative route.... and win instantlyI thought Shu fell because Jiang Wei gambled with a risky tactic?
>>526877404IIRC, Jiang Wei dismantling Wei Yan's defences around Hanzhong (to lure in the Wei forces then deal more damage via counterattacks) was the gambit that failed because the invading Wei forces ignored the border cities to march for the Shu heartland, and Liu Shan didn't deploy reinforcements in time. However Jiang Wei did hold firm at Jiange until Deng Ai marched over the mountains to get around Jiange. But I could be completely misremembering this.
>>526877843So was Jiang Wei being retarded? Or was it sensible, would you say?

I love her. Too bad her game is apparently the worst Atelier game in the series somehow, if Steam reviews with 70+ hours are any indication. Hopefully the devs learn from their mistakes in this game and make the sequel better (because they'd have to be fools to throw this top-tier babe away because of one critical failure).
>>526812957Koei doesn't seem to do DLC as much as they used to, there's a real chance they don't do anything for Origins and instead they just announce a Wuzhang sequel is in the works at some point this year.
>>526890407I consider it a secret third gameplay style for ROTK along with 11 compared to the officer play quasi-sandbox RPG games and the ruler play ones that are just more streamlined officer play games. That style being territory control on one seamless map. As such it can be very hit or miss depending on what you're looking for from it.
I enjoyed the way that, while it has its usual ROTK stats and tactics where high tier officers can just delete troops for free, it places much more emphasis on proper positioning and pre-planning, and that also gives actual reasons to split your army up into smaller but more numerous units rather than a couple giant deathballs. You can genuinely outwit a far larger force by maneuvering around and cutting off their supply routes, the same can happen to you. There's real benefits to slowly conquering an area rather than rushing right to a siege unless you have a clear advantage. It has some of the ROTK 11 logistics autism where you have to manually be moving troops, gold, food, etc. around your cities, though not as severe and you can automate some of it as your kingdom grows.
I think it's good for what it is, I'd consider it underrated all things considered but definitely go into it knowing it's not another ROTK where you get intimate with raising officer stats and relations.
cao cao has the most tiniest dick
>>526878714it was a gamble. and a pretty shit one at that considering even if they won they would at most get luo yang+western provinces and they would still be at huge disadvantage in every metrics. but who knows maybe this lets Shu survive long enough until Sima retards blow up on their own
Shu's best shot would have been Zhuge Liang surviving another 10-20 years and being ready and willing to lead another northern campaign coordinated with Wu in the wake of Cao Rui's death in 239. That was their last chance to strike a destabilizing blow to Wei to upset the power balance.

>>526906801DW8XL no contest, even if you're a Berserk fan. Berserk musou is not good
>>526867692ROTK8R sucks. It if way too different from the original game that I'd say it's not a Remake at all, and the changes make the game a lot easier to break and become a snoozefest. Awakening is my second favorite Nobunaga game after Iron Triangle because the AI is pretty aggressive there and there isn't as much micromanagement compared to previous titles.
>>526890407It's a weird mix of IX and XI and could be enjoyable if you enjoy the combat in those 2 games. It's worse offenders are that its development phase reaaaaaaally drag and boring, and a lot of its contents are hold hostage by DLCs.
I still find it hilarious that the origins "bonding" dialogue ended up the way it did because Sho simply wasn't paying attention to what the writers were doing and some fujo seen her chance, swung for the rafters and lived out her dream.
>>526882484We still don't even know how much Shu actually lost in the northern campaign so it's tough to make a judgement on it.
>>526906210There is no reality where Wu ends up not being total jobbers offensively
>>526924346Zhuge Liang didnโt want to write down that his campaigns lost 14 million billion zillion trillion squillion men all to maintain the same territory lines
>>526924346We do know they took significant enough a toll that Jiang Wei had to record an apology memorial and request demotion to appease the populace, so there's that.
Origins is 23% off on the Steam sale right now, don't know why such a specific number. East Asia is carrying the game again as it's currently in the top 25 sellers for Japan/China/Hong Kong/South Korea and #36 in the global top sellers
When origins released and sold a million, I thought to myself I bet this will have legs and do well in future sales due to the good reception. The AAA pricing for a DW game would've put off some people at launch, but its a game more people will pick up during price drops. That does seem to be playing out.

So now that Final Fantasy 16 (a game that nobody thought would come to Xbox) has come to Xbox, what are the odds that Koei Tecmo will put the Nioh games on Xbox? Or Rise of the Ronin? Or the Dynasty/Samurai Warriors games that aren't on Xbox?
>>527006681Maybe Nioh has a chance. But I don't think there was anything ever stopping SW4 for example from releasing on Xbox, pretty sure they just thought it wouldn't be worth it, so I doubt that'll come. In fact, not a single musou made it on to Xbox's backwards compatibility, which was pretty disappointing.
>>527007146>Xbox's backwards compatibility,It's so weird that they basically stopped with that program.

>Secondly, is there likely to be a dlc released for it so I should wait to buy them as a package or is there no dlc announced?Nothing on that front.
On that note and something of a rant/peeve, Origins should be fine but beware of games using another corp's IP. I just looked up on YouTube and the stylish slowdown that people get for the same mission I was running (the first Naomasa story mission) was way shorter and definitely not a performance issue.

>>527154728On a macro level it's a Japanese vs. western publisher thing. JP publishers are much more averse to price drops and deep sales unless a product is a known evergreen property. Capcom is a good example in that they resemble western AAA a lot and games like Resident Evil have very long sale tails, so they're fine with dropping the price more often. Western pubs on the other hand have run into an issue where they lower prices so often and so fast after release that gamers are conditioned to wait for sales now. Ubisoft has seriously suffered from fostering this mentality
>>527158732Yeah I don't really play Capcom games now but I certainly wouldn't buy one full price considering how often they go on sale

Compare him with someone like Zhou Yu. He benefits from fire damage boosting his musou and needs Wu emblems, and most Wu character happen to to give you fire, so with Zhou Yu his build is very straightforward.

DW4's progression is confusing to me. Clearly the idea is that you should swap around characters for variety's sake, as sticking to only one character you'll max out their weapon like halfway through a musou mode, but since there's no level scaling you have to go back into Free Mode to level those characters up, replaying the same stages you're guaranteed to have done before. If you want actual new stages, the secret stage requirements are basically to play badly on purpose.

Am I just shit at the game, or are most of the charged attacks that many weapons have in DWO very situational/useless against enemy officers because they'll just super armour their way through whatever you've charged up? I find myself defaulting back to the sword for story stages to play the standard dodge/parry then punish game.
>>527515832You're supposed to hit them after they finish their attack/you parry them/you stagger them with a battle art. Don't know why the game lists her difficulty as being 2/4 stars when she's one of the easiest characters in the game to use effectively with how much crowd control is built into everything she does.
This was my first run with her. No cumulative levels at all. I wanted to use her because I got her unique weapon in a previous run. And the results were surprisingly good.
Started playing Warriors Orochi 3 because my friend told me that was the best one with the most stuff in it, good value for money.
First off it is endlessly amusing to me the game does almost nothing to ground you in it, you've got like 200 characters and zero bios. That's fine I know how to use the KT wiki. I've played Nioh 1-2 and I'm roughly familiar with Dynasty Warriors/Three Kingdoms stuff.
But what I'm really asking about is whether there's a good gameplay guide out there, there are so many elements of the game thrown at you that I'm a bit lost. It was only after I got Ginchiyo that I realised I could even strafe instead of just running around. So does anyone know a good primer for how you're meant to play the game or should I just stop worrying and start doing combo chains? Ginchiyo's moveset is fun and I like lightning so I'm going with her for now.
Thanks
I also bought Bladestorm Nightmare so I can finally, finally, put it to bed after I had Bladestorm OG on the 360 and Bladestorm Nightmare on the ps4 without beating it either times.
>>527621984I'm someone who has been playing WO3 almost nonstop for the past like 2 months now. Considering that you're coming at it after having played the Nioh games (like I did), here are some things you should know:
1. You can play any main story and DLC content on the hardest difficulty without needing some kind of overpowered setup. You can use an overpowered setup, or you can choose to play more a character action game approach to the content, just like with the Nioh games.
2. That said, you start off very weak, so I suggest you only play on Normal, at least until you get a team that each has 2 promotions, at which point you can switch to Hard. Once you have a team with 4 promotions per character, you can do Nightmare.
3. What are promotions? Basically, if you max out your character's level to LV100, you can use a promotion that resets their stats to LV1, but you get to continue to allocate stats that give them more overall stats in the long run. You can go up to 9 promotions, but in my experience it's complete overkill. Max out at just 4 so that you get a big movement speed buff when you reach your fourth promotion.
4. Know the difference between the character classes (Power, Technique, Speed and Wonder).
Power: You have hyper armor from regular enemy attacks.
Technique: My favorite. You can strafe dodge into a running attack, which is busted on so many characters. Later on, you can equip an item that allows you to cancel charge attacks into these strafe dodges.
Wonder: You can cancel attacks into this tackle animation at the cost of some of your gauge.
Speed: You get a double jump.
(Cont'd into the next post)
>>527621984>>5276231705. Familiarize yourself with the switch combo system. If you switch a character after a regular attack, you get the other characters running attack animation. If you switch a character after a charge attack (meaning: any triangle ender attack), you get moves that can launch and juggle opponents and gives you invincibility. Webm related. This will help immensely with crowd control and killing officers.
6. Your R1 attacks vary in power, but most of them have full invincibility frames throughout their entire duration and are useful for getting yourself out of trouble.
7. Your main focus should be clearing story missions. Then you should unlock the special gear. Then you can choose to do DLC missions or go into gauntlet mode, which is a whole 'nother can of worms, but it offers tons of unique equipment (like that strafe dodge cancel I mentioned earlier).
8. For your weapons, don't worry about getting perfect 5-star gear, because the game has an awesome gear system that strengthens underpowered 1-2 star weapons and makes them viable for endgame.
9. If you block an attack and then immediately press square, you can get a deflect animation that dizzies the enemy, opening them up for a combo or juggle. Very useful for crowd control, because your deflect affects other nearby enemies as well.
Here is a link to how you can get the special gear: https://koei.fandom.com/wiki/Treasure_Guide
>>527621984>>527623170>>527623330Also, a few other things I forgot:
1. Keep an eye on what your failure conditions are in the pause menu for each mission. Make sure to prevent enemy officers from swarming allied NPCs you need to keep alive.
2. Be sure to save at the start of missions so that if your allied NPC is retarded and gets himself killed, you can immediately restart from the start of the mission instead of the hub. Also, be sure to save before a mission boss officer, so that if you get instagibbed by his musou attack, you can resume from there. Until you get a feel for enemy patterns, you'll likely die to enemy musou attacks.
3. To prevent burnout, rotate between 2-3 different teams. Don't worry, on normal difficulty, you won't need optimization, even on the 8-9-10 star missions.
4. Pic related is the kind of gear properties you should have. Always go to the blacksmith after every run and fuse weapons to get your desired weapon properties to +10.
>>527623170>>527623330>>527623834you are a credit to your ancestors anon and the very model of filial piety. I'll make sure to write all this down.
I'll need to review the controls because I don't even know how to block even though I was sure it's in the game since random jobber enemy officers block all the time.
I did try doing a hard mission and got my shit absolutely rocked so yeah I'm sticking with normal for now.
I do want to play around to find characters I like, for now Ginchiyo is the most fun. I'll try to stay on top of blacksmithing since that seems like something you want to incrementally keep progressing so you know what you're doing.
>>527621984Oh, and if you're on PC, be sure to download the file that's in the description of this guy's video: It essentially gives you a permanent wider FOV, which is absolutely a boon for a game like this.

I think there are a few stages where it is easier to play as a recommended character because you don't have to babysit them to certain destinations, Ueda Castle is the earliest example because if you don't get Sima Zhao to meet up with Wang Yuanji as soon as the battle started, morale drops like a rock and it is very easy to lose the battle.

Do we really need all those guides of how to play a musou? The only guide I ever needed is to know how to unlock characters in WO1 and 2
Is it time for multiple systems to make a Dynasty Warriors compilation of older games?
>>527648892Yeah, I think a lot of people have been asking for the PS2 Remaster Collection for years now.
>>527649245What games are those?
>>527648892>>527653913It's up to Koei to do that, but yeah they should. Look at it this way, the series has always been PS focused, but on ps4/5 the only games you can play (without using the streaming service) are DW8 and above. On steam, it's DW7 and above.
So basically for most gamers, dw2 - 6 can't be played unless you got an old console sitting around or emulate. They did make some PC ports of older games, but they're not easily found and some were kinda ass - that's why Origins was such a surprise when it ran really well on PC for the most people.
So yeah, Koei should really just do a bundle of 2 - 6/7, basic remastering for high resolution, more troops on screen, let you turn while attacking, maybe add camera movement support with right stick to 2 - 5 etc. Nothing major, just QoL stuff everyone would like and release it all in one pack for $20 - 30 or whatever. Put it out on Steam, PS5 & series X and it will secure the legacy games for a long time to come.
>>527649245I'm a little worried they'll be extremely greedy about it since Sho did a poll last year asking what specific PS2 games fan would want remastered the most and DW5 won in a landslide.
This is the fastest T1 run I've done with a character that has zero cumulative levels. I was still able to do this despite the first boss' rewards being all so shit that I couldn't pick any of them and had to resort to the discard option.
I hate this so much. Why the fuck would you put them so far apart from each other? It's a big time waster. Whether the one you go to is the real one or the illusion is entirely an RNG dice roll. It's possible you get so unlucky that you end up killing all the illusions first.

A lot of it's just getting lucky in timing hough. Imagine if instead of losing popular support after a disastrous second campaign and getting assassinated in 253, Zhuge Ke had held off for just a year and instead mobilized to take advantage of the unrest surrounding the anti-Sima Shi groups in the Wei Court in 254.

>>527718250He's arguably the most straightforward character in the game.
5% extra damage per Wu emblem?
50% extra damage on burned enemies?
Just stack as many Wu emblems as possible. There's nothing else to it since most Wu characters are already fire-based.
Add in Honda and Yukimura for additional passives that immensely boost fire, and you have one hell of a powerhouse who is easy to pick up and get fast clears with.
And unlike someone else who benefits from building fire like Naomasa Ii, Sun Jian's moveset is actually compact and efficient. It's perfectly designed for melting bosses, compared to Naomasa's moveset being unwieldy due to how much his charge attacks move him around.
>>527721503>Yuan Shao's biggest loss was due to a well timed fire attack>Cao Cao's biggest loss was due to a well timed fire attack>Liu Bei's biggest loss was due to a well timed fire attack>Sun Quan's biggest loss was due to getting cock blocked by one man
Solid character. I just don't like how spastic her moveset is. Far too much just spinning and moving around during her stronger attack animations, making it unnecessarily tricky to melt down bosses with broken barriers (because you can find yourself accidentally hitting thin air). I don't want to have to wrestle with the character just to get them to do damage.
Ambition Mode in DW8 is fun. I'm surprised I enjoy it, considering that I bounced off of Chronicle Mode in SW4 really quickly. I'm guessing the faster pace of Ambition Mode makes it more enjoyable for me.
>>527706834>Zhuge Ke came to the same conclusion in Wu and wrote a very eloquent public essay explaining it, but the entrenched local powers in Wu resented Zhuge Ke's offensive policy and had him assassinatedIs that because Wu were pacifists?

>>526802197NTA and tt has been years since I've played it.
But I remember one of Wu's conditions being a complete bitch because the layout was confusing and I couldn't figure out where I was suppose to actually go. Dynasty Warrior's map sucks for determining cifferences cliffs/heights/altitude or whatever. I have the same problem whenever I play 8E's Yellow Turban special battle and trying to figure out how to get to the peasants on the high cliff to save them.
Which is the best Empires from a fairness/simulation view point? DW8:E feels robust content wise, but the battle sim is sooo anti-player it kinda ruins it. Your allies can be way higher lvl than the enemy officers and they'll still get their asses kicked more often than not unless it's 3 allies vs 1 enemy. And the enemy officers will also completely ignore all ally officers & ally troops and 100% focus on the player if you're within a certain radius of them which is so immersion breaking.
I've been playing DW5:E and while it's not as robust, it feels a bit fairer in terms of ally officers vs enemy officers. It still has anti-player shit like always starting with less bases unless you use the equal start tactic, enemy officers focus on you etc, but it's not as bad as 8.
>>527796713They're all like that. If they were actually fair then they would probably be too easy. I've played DW4-8E + SW2E. And they're just all like that. I think 6 and 8 were the worse in this regard though.
I am also hoping for Warriors Orochi Empires one day. Maybe even a sorta Gundam Empires. I have never watched the Gundam series (other then a little bit of Wing as a kid) I rented DWG2 on a whim and IMHO it's the best Musou ever made.
>>527797224I don't agree it would be too easy if your allies didn't suck, that would only happen if they didn't make things more difficult in other ways. i.e they could make the actual fighting more dangerous to compensate for there being less babysitting.
>>527797858>they could make the actual fighting more dangerous to compensate for there being less babysittingYeah, that's the main issue. Even in Empires, the devs design the game around the player being a one man or one woman army, especially in DW8E. At least with SW4E red morale zones can stop you from being too aggressive, while the player swap feature makes it easier to push on multiple fronts, but you have to actually build up bonds between your characters to enable that.
>>527749713That was the prevailing thought near the end of Wu, wasn't it? Sun Hao had such a delusional belief in coexistence with Jin that he had no real response prepared for the invasion in 280.
>>527781242Only 2 hours in and this game has one of the most insufferable writing I've seen in a video game in a while. Not sure if it's because of the translation or something.
>>527742760No. Rich and powerful just don't want to pay taxes and conscription demands. Same shit was going on in Shu and Wei. On all sides they just want to chill and enjoy their riches. Doesn't matter to them who's Emperor or if there's one or three.
>>527815525>Sun Hao had such a delusional belief in coexistence with JinNo. Sun Hao was very, very pro-war with Jin, against the arguments of the regional powers who just wanted to enjoy their riches. That's partly why they hated Sun Hao so much, and why Sun Hao resorted to some pretty brutal methods to try to force them in line. Sun Hao's delusion was not coexistence with Jin but that he could conquer Jin through appeals to divine will and obsessive collection of positive omens.
Charging in alone for the sake of valor? I guess you wanna die!
>>527721503If you actually bother to read the records in detail, Wu had a great offensive record. Jia Kui spent basically his entire career just building up defenses in Yuzhou in response.

>>527785052I enjoyed it, but be aware that enemy officers can give themselves hyper armour whenever they want. And unlike Origins, where they're at least vulnerable after finishing a combo or getting countered/parried, all you can do in Strikeforce is wait it out, use hit and run tactics, or (once you're far enough into the game) use your own hyper armour via a particular setup.

>all of this is just one one (1) character

Easily the worst part of Omega Force games is how excessively grindy they are. There is literally no reason why it has to require so much grinding just to finish equipping one character.
They need to add a fifth kingdom in DW10, as a joke
>was interested in trying out different secondary weapons for Lianshi in DW8
>saw that she had a 4/4 star compatibility with Meng Huo's "Gloves" class weapon
>wanted to have her beating the shit out of enemies with her fists
>equip it
>use it on a casual mission run
>realize that as soon as she begins running, Omega Force basically copy and pasted Meng Huo's gorilla running animation
>as a result, Lianshi runs the exact same way Meng Huo does when she equips the Gloves
It's every bit as janky as I'm describing it. It's even worse if you equip Lianshi with Guan Yu's Crescent Blade class weapon. She has this incredibly broken running animation that was carelessly copy and pasted from Guan Yu's running animation.
So aside from Omega Force and Falcom, what other major game devs make big use of power metal in their soundtracks?

Does the game tell you any of this? Nope. You gotta figure it out for yourself. Either get stuck for hours and hours trying to grind the wrong way to max out your equipped skills, or go online and look up forums to see how to actually do it the right way. Classic Japanese time-wasting game design.

>>527995169I'm honestly tempted to boot up a trainer that can get my characters to LV150 and give me infinite resources so that I can have characters properly geared and leveled to deal with Ultimate difficulty. Because needing to grind Ambition Mode or using any of the other mind-numbing "speedfarming" strats (like abusing pic related) is just going to burn me out of the game.
Again, Omega Force games don't need to be this grindy. DW8XL has:
>82 characters>70 main story missions that'll take you a full triple-A game's worth of time to unlock and do all the hypotheticals/stars for>extra DLC missions>a ranked Free Mode that'll require even more time to get all A-ranks on>Ambition and Challenge modes>secret weapon unlocksEven if DW8XL had zero grinding for character levels, skills and materials, you'd still easily have a game that takes 100-150 hours to go through. Why is that bad? Why do these games have to be 500 to 1,000 hours long because of grinding?
>>527995792This is why I only ever focused on a small number of characters I actually liked in any given Musou game. No point maxing out a bunch of jobbers that I'm never going to touch again after unlocking their rare weapons.
Early game was miserable.
The procedural generation was constantly trolling me with missions that required me to kill boss clones. It sped up significantly in worlds 3 and 4 after I finally got my build going (and I got Honda and Yukimura too for boosting that fire damage).
The game gave me one last trolling session by only giving me a King's Cauldron on the penultimate floor before the Lu Bu clone boss.
I wasn't even able to clean up shop because I had so many Tears of Blood at that point that I still had so much leftover after buying all the officers and a butterfly formation to boost my fire damage.
Here's something for a future patch that should be implemented: Any leftover Tears of Blood should be converted into EXP points for the player to speed up the cumulative leveling process.
>>527995792Hyrule Warriors 1 is by far the biggest culprit of this, and I call it out precisely because it always gets praise for having like 800 hours of "content". The majority of that is only if you want to 100% absolutely every little thing in the game, and the majority of that is going to be literally hundreds of playthroughs of Hyrule Field with the slightest changes.
WHY IS LIU BEI SO FUCKING USELESS? He keeps dying during Escape from Xiaopei when I'm right fucking next to him.
>>528031378Liu Bei is useless.jpg
OK, so people weren't kidding when they said that Mature Yukimura is the strongest character in the game.
What I didn't know was just how easy he is to use.
Every other character in the game needs to get 8 skill emblems to give themselves their strongest moves and to actually have an expansive moveset.
Mature Yukimura already has his strongest moves by default. They have insane range. And they do a shit ton of fire damage even from the very start of your run. So he builds musou insanely quickly. He doesn't even need his hyper attacks, since his standard>charge attacks from C2 to C5 are all insanely powerful.
I probably could have gotten this run in like 35 minutes if I didn't leave the game to idle while I answered a phone call. That's how good this character is.

In terms of the subject of "grinding", the game also did it way better than Omega Force.
I was able to get all of the following done within about 40 hours:
1. All characters fully leveled up to LV150 (and I still have tons of spare QP to level up an additional like 20 extra servants if a miracle happened and the devs added another 20 servants in 2025)
2. All Install Skills unlocked (and I have enough dupes to basically make any loadout I want for my characters)
3. All Mystic Codes unlocked
4. All Servant bonds maxed out
5. All Story Mode and Extra Mode missions cleared on Normal and Very Hard difficulties
6. All Story Mode missions on Very Hard and Extra Mode missions cleared with EX Rank (the highest mission ranking)
The best part is that none of this actually felt like grinding.
I played through the Story Mode missions on Normal, then I went straight to chasing EX Ranks on Very Hard difficulty. In the process, I got metric tons of QP and Install Skills, as well as materials to craft Mystic Codes. By the time I reached about the 40 hour mark, I got all of the aforementioned things done.
I never had to farm for anything (meaning: undergo some tedious and efficient and repetitive ritual to quickly accumulate materials or experience) the way I always have to in Omega Force games.
A shame that it most likely sold like shit and probably led to the developers scrapping any post-launch plans. Because if you look at the Servant Barracks, you'll notice there are empty dorm rooms that very clearly were meant to be used for post-launch DLC characters.

So if they do it for empires, It's predictable that they will also be able to use the roster in a traditional DW10 or whatever they call it, since their new character assets will be all there and done ready to be reused.
Holy fuck, Red Cliff really was some kino-ass shit. Gonna watch part 2 tomorrow. In the meanwhile, I'm gonna slowly dump some of my favorite parts.

Why can't Xiaoqiao in Dynasty Warriors look like this? Goddamn this woman is beautiful.
Something about the way John Woo directs shots is just so smooth and layered.

Skill emblem getting buffed in the next Warriors Abyss update
https://twitter.com/musou_abyss/status/1935985989479993422
Replaying DW5 on a whim tonight, never realized how much of a bridge between 6th and 7th gen musou it is. The peons are so weak and so plentiful and your attacks have such a wider range than any previous game, you can see DW8 on the horizon
>>528244120DW5 is in this odd spot for me. Hard is too easy unless you're under levelled, but Chaos is too big a jump in difficulty with the near zero healing items. Although those codes that were posted recently re-enable health drops for Chaos, so maybe I can try that as Chaos Minus or something.
>>528234401Isn't it in Hebei?

Koei totally could include the Korean campaigns in SW, it's not taboo they're just being pussies
It gets covered in manga about the period so why wouldn't it be allowed in a video game?
>>528254110Koei are Japanese patriots and feel like the Korea campaigns are embarrassing and bring much dishonor.
>>528254110If Koei is ever going to touch the subject of Korea in their games, they need to wait at least a few years (maybe even a decade) until the dust settles from their Rise of the Ronin pre-release controversy.
Just a QRD: Team Ninja released a videos of Rise of the Ronin to introduce the game to the public. In it, the game's developers talked about the gameplay, the world, the story and the characters, and their intent with the game. In one of these videos, ROTR's director Fumihiko Yasuda made a rather idiotic comment comparing one of the game's real-life characters to Socrates.
That character (a scholar named Shoin Yoshida) was rather famous for his desire to invade Korea.
Now I personally don't think Yasuda intended to endorse this specific imperialist aspect of the character's personality. Shoin was influential in ROTR's era of Japan in a way that was akin to the way Socrates was influential, so that comment was (in my understanding) more of a comparison of how similar they are in influence.
But Korean consumers didn't like what Yasuda said, and the game literally got banned from sales in Korea shortly after that video was released. Koreans who wanted to play the game in Korean could still get it, but they had to buy it from outside of Korea.
If you paid attention to Korean Team Ninja players on YouTube, if you were Korean and even played the game, you caused a lot of other Korean YouTubers to call you traitors and Japan sympathizers.
Check out this from a popular Korean Nioh player: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUyW0fSRowI. Just use the Translate to English button on the comments section and you'll have an idea of how much infighting drama ROTR caused in the Korean Team Ninja community.
I really don't like how Ultimate difficulty handles the AI of named officer enemies in DW8XL.
The fact that a named enemy officer can instantly initiate a musou a frame after escaping a juggle (because the game's wonky aerial juggle physics means that it's impossible to get 100% consistency in juggles) means that you have to play super defensively against these officers or just shitty cheese strats like being in a disadvantaged affinity so that you can bait those blue switch counters forever, or just using rage mode musous to delete the enemy officer in question.
>>528254110If they do, they will only focus on the land campaign. Can't have Yi Sun-sin kicking ass now
>>528254110The Korean campaign is too self-content and doesn't add anything to the overall story structure of SW. Also like
>>528256210 said, it's better to be safe than sorry.
>>528254110It would be the Japanese forces constantly stomping Korean npcs the entire time, boring
What are some good non-Koei musous that are worth playing?
Anyone know any good Dynasty Warriors or samurai or crossover FanFictions for people who do like fanfiction but not centered around shipping characters who do not have romantic attractions to each other in Canon?

If you get it on PC, be sure to use your Nvidia Control Panel to cap the framerate at 60fps, otherwise, you get insane camera shaking just from having your character run around.

>>528254110Not so much Samurai Warriors probably, but Koei's other games have always been popular in South Korea and China, for a product targeted specifically at a Japanese audience like a manga it's maybe not seen as a big deal, Korea and China still get edgy about the topic though. I know there was supposed to be a Shimazu Yoshihiro-focused taiga drama and South Korea somehow complained enough to pressure the studio to not go ahead with it.
Also Omega Force is probably too lazy to make it work, it'd need new maps and soldier designs for an overall brief bit of the game. Although I suppose that's what the Nanman campaign is in DW
>>528274832>>528254110>>528256210Something I got to see about Japan even though I love Japanese culture how many Manga and Anime Japan's not the best even compared to Western countries at admitting we done anything more we long ever and that includes what they did across Asia like when the monkey invaded Korea was bad animal and even to this day what they did during World War II like putting war criminals from the second world war at an old time sacred Temple. It's been an issue for America getting it out of allies in the area to cooperate with Japan. And you got to know when the Second Great unifier invaded Korea it was brutal.
>>528275671Like that anon said, they can admit they fucked up, it seems to be more of a sensitive topic for South Korea and China than it is for Japan. Also the motives for the war were multi-faceted and there's stories you can tell around that. Imperial hubris was a part of it but it's also generally accepted that Hideyoshi wanted to keep the warlords busy and prevent them from warring with each other again while he establishes total control, so he had them unite against a foreign enemy.
>>528273840It's called the Halberd because no one can hit you back
So I just played Chibi for the first time in Origins. Holy fuck.
>>528271154This was interesting.
So what times in European history will you find most align or conducive or basically for video games we can do the same sort of Storytelling and gameplay type things for compared to China's 3 kingdoms ( with the yellow turbine rebellion and the lead up to the 3 kingdoms) and Japan I believe the end of the Warren states with the 3 great unifiers? Basic point of European Warriors game.
>>528279805Isn't that where the outside of hypothetical Roots the game story ends for all 3 dynasties?I mean in Dynasty Warriors Origins I only just kicked Lu Bu out of Cao Cao territory he took over .

>>528332836Very much so.
If you like musou combat, then WA is unironically is one of the best Warriors game, because it takes away a lot of the poor stage pacing and design that often plagues Warriors games and focuses entirely on combat.
Up until the last difficulty level (which will take you a long time to reach with even just one character), you have quite a lot of build flexibility for each character.
