If you want to surrender a ranked game at 0-5 because you've gotten one kill combined, I get that. Surrendering when you're one or two rounds away from ending the match anyway feels pointless. I just want to play the game.
In casual it is even worse since you play to 7 and can only surrender at 5. There's no point, just play the last two rounds unless they are deliberately wasting your time. Maybe try to get a kill or two on the infinitely better players.
However, ignoring the scenario you have put forward, since in my experience it is not realistic, I've had a ton of people throw up surrender votes just because they personally are upset. Surrender votes at 2-3 or even 3-2, matches that we've won after the surrender went out. People just want to surrender over anything when all I want to do is shoot people.

With the way they are buffing her she's becoming more ungabunga with each patch. Just plap the snails where you think the enemy will be.

This is a huge change to the flow of a match, "pistol rounds" are gone and you no longer have to prioritize armor on the second round, this is a big buff for every character with additional armor or health regeneration so the Ming + Celestia combo goes back to the menu, this is also a nerf for big damage characters and they are no longer OP for the first 2 rounds.
>Movement speed stops being character specific, it is now tied to the weapon equipped and character's unique guns now have the previous character movement speed values.
Now any character can reach max speed (6m/s) by switching off their primary weapon, like switching to the knife in CSGO, in one hand I don't like this change since movement speed is what I used to calculate rotations, flanks and duel engagements, on the other hand Koko, Audrey and other really slow characters won't struggle so much with rotations, it worries me how fast the secondaries are gonna be, be ready for swords and flamethrowers running at you at really REALLY high speed, can't wait to see how fast Leona can go.

Defense:
the barrier is far from point entrances so setup characters feel bad since they can't deploy stuff pre-round in useful locations.
A site is huge and fairly open so if you don't hold the two entry points you can get overwhelmed fast since there isn't much to fall back to. Difficult to play forward here because of it.
B site is the opposite, tons of hiding spots for both the attackers and defenders. This site is interesting and I like it.

Offense:
limited entry to both sites and mid is basically useless meaning hard commits and limited opportunity for reactionary rotates except from B to A via the containers. Pushing mid and threatening both sites isn't an option due to how mid is designed. "Mid to A" and "Mid to B" aren't just unfavorable but horrible options all together. If you get getting walled out it feels really hopeless since there isn't much in the way of flank routes.

here's some number details on chiyo for nerds like myself:
neat detail i don't think i've seen mentioned: her DMR can toggle to full-auto. it has VERY little recoil or spread otherwise, so unless you can confidently out-mash the firerate i don't think there's any reason to keep it on semi but that'll be up to preference
her active ability sticks to surfaces for 7 sec, and detonates 1 sec from triggering. it has a base damage of 80, and a radius of 7m with minimum 30 damage. that's also the detection radius autotriggering. the arrows can be set to bounce once, but they have gravity so it's for bouncing an arrow down onto someone, not hitting crazy ricochets off the ground. if you direct hit a target, the arrow will detonate in space wherever you hit them, it won't follow them.
her ult has a radius of 10 meters in which it does 50 damage every .2 sec over ~2.5? seconds. she is completely stationary while aiming it but after first hitting the button you have a 15 second window to fire, so you can put it away and reposition or allow her passive to charge, then pull it back out; after that window it's consumed entirely regardless of where you shoot. if you've at least started charging, it'll just shoot automatically when the timer expires, so make sure you've at least clicked before then. enemies scanned by proximity to teammates will have an icon over their head indicating range, so you can charge precisely as much as you need to (though the proximity fuse doesn't make this very necessary anyway). once fired, it detonates either at a maximum distance based on how much you charge it or within 3m of any enemy, with a start-up that lasts 2 seconds till the first tick of damage.
her tactical is a straight-flying arrow that penetrates through enemies with a pretty generous projectile size, dealing 80 damage across 2 ticks to each target it touches. it's an even more straightforward tactical than eika's, and it's a pretty big amount of damage for how easy it is to use

awakening 1 lets her disable healing and armor regen on targets after some amount of damage, no vfx so i can't really tell what the threshold is
awakening 2 gives her active skill 4 sub-munitions when it detonates, which each deal a flat 20 damage within 5 meters, boosted to 23 by her passive. these detonate 1 second after hitting any floor, and with the +10 damage upgrade (only affects the initial explosion) can easily one shot targets in light armor if with the full volley; don't stand still if she's targeting you with this shit
awakening 3 lets you use her ability as a trap, enabling them during set-up time and making them last 90 seconds upon being planted. with only 1 charge and a base 25 second cooldown, i'm not sure this is gonna be terribly useful in comparison to "free extra 80 damage". on the bright side, there doesn't seem to be any limit to how many you can have active at a time and it doesn't seem like they're destructible, so if you choose the 5 second faster cooldown and you're quick about getting to your site you could have at least 5 or 6 arrow already in position by the time enemies arrive to give them a pain in the neck

I feel that. In Ranked it's gotten to the point where most players know each other by name in my skill bracket, and everyone knows which team is going to win before the match even starts.
In Challenge I also get matched with the same people a couple of games in a row, but there are still new ones I haven't played with yet.

That said CN does play differently though and surrender a lot more often so that could skew their stats. Just from personal experience though, low - mid ranks, people do not hold space on defence and have bad nades so it makes sense attack wins more in low ranks.
