There are ways to change the next drop. If you use Richelle or Pluepet, or the card bonus you can change your drop. You can also use these in combination. So Save before a chest equip one of these cards or bonuses, see what you get, and then revert save with bonus/unequip. Some cards are fixed drops which means that you might only be able to alter one or two cards at the most. Your previous pick will change what you will see in the next drop, so go back one fight and pick a different card and you will get a different drop. The other one is to use Martina, Tilde or Kesselrings maid to drop a meal ticket, taking it will change the next drop as well. I think which cards are dropped is also dependent upon the exp attached to the fight. The easier the fight, the lower the quality of card you will get, so dont worry to much about manipulating these ones. They usually only drop as 2 cards instead of 3, and they're nearly always generic duplicates

Though the real issue is not that many Rance H scenes are fappable. A lot of them feature really dynamic poses (in a bad way) and fucked up anatomy, combined with the dialogues they are too distracting to fap to.

The truth is that Rance died early in Rance Quest. He never resolved the Morurun curse, and hanged himself. Kanami was traumatized watching this, as she was hiding in the ceiling at the time. The rest of the series is the delusion of her mind trapped in her paralyzed body.
