If he's working with Torishima on this It pretty much has to be non dragonball related because Torishima's goal is to get Toyotaro to learn how to do some things without the crutch of following Toriyama's old blue prints meaning he'll have to come up with a world, characters, story, powers, fight scenes and maybe even power ups all without the dragonball IP to hold him through it.

Also I don’t see a lot of people mention this, but it seems to me that it isn’t actually based off of DBS Broly, but rather it’s a mixture of a whole bunch of factors. Like Gogeta, Broly, and Frieza are based off of their DBS Broly model sheets, but DBS Vegeta is based off of that one scene of him fighting Broly where Takahashi reverted to Yamamuro Vegeta, and kid Goku was based off of that one scene he was in. And the ginyus, king cold, zarbon and dodoria, etc were based off of their brief cameos. Then there are other characters who weren’t in the movie at all like Kefla and Turles. I think these characters were based off of model sheets from their respective anime/movie and then given things that the devs associate Shintani with, like rounder faces and curved eyes.

This may be an unpopular observation, but I also believe there are quite a few models that clearly don’t look like they were built to be expressive, if that makes sense. Like they look good during still poses, but you see their mouth move for attacks or when getting hit and it just looks off. I noticed this looking at baby Super Saiyan Goku and Glorio during the Daima DLC.

There's really no way to excuse that school of thought, Goku had more faith in SSG strenght than in fusing with Vegeta, Goku surpassed every DBZ character the moment he went SSG.

Pretty sure the thing with fusion is that counts the true power of the fusees aka their final forms, because imagine you fuse Goku with Piccolo, that think shouldn't be able to transform so what do you get? A SS2 tier saiyan-namekian hybrid or something? SS3 at best? It wouldn't make sense as a power up. Now if we consider the newly created being combines the true power of the fusees you ensure the fusion is always stronger than the fusees, as it should.
So pre-SSG ritual fusion for Goku and Vegeta is like combining a SS3 and a SS2 plus the boost from fusing, strong, but not stronger than Buuhan (SS Gotenks alone was SS3 Goku tier, Super Buu must be twice that at least to be stronger than SS2 Gotenks and Ultimate Gohan is stronger than SS3 Gotenks. Hearts talking about his belief that mortals suppress their desires because of the gods is a manga only thing, as the game didn't have it.
