Is loot changed in offline mode? I've always felt like I find less loot whenever I'm in offline for practice, but naturally it hasn't really been my focus point either. Recently I've had a habit of checking dorms marked room as I run past it to shoot scavs, and every time it's like 1-2 shitty guns at best. I know marked rooms sucks right now but normally it's at least 4-5 loot items in live, but in offline it's nothing at all.

Make sure to finish off tarkov shooter line as fast as possible and get mentor as well so you could start psycho sniper as soon as possible (you need lvl 10 bolt action rifles for that). The sooner you have a chance to finish it off the less overall you'll have to use bolties. You'll probably continue to try and finish psycho sniper well after you finish off sbih but you never know.
My favorite sniping map was reserve, not woods like the other anon suggested (I've done psycho sniper there so it's not like I'm talking out of my ass). Yes, most of the spawns are dogshit BUT after that it's smooth sailing. I've noticed not many people are aware how many angles they are exposed to so you can get lucky shots (some of them easy above 100m). DO NOT go sniping from dome, it's a bait for timmies, there are too many spots that you can be sniped from. At best you can camp red rebel exfil 15-20min into the raid (I've got like 2 kills like that). My favorite spots were the ones marked on pic rel
1-the top of the building, you can prone and have vision on dome, pretty good vision on routs that are visited by pmcs
2-roof of barracks, pretty good vision as well
3-good vision from toilets to dome, I've gotten many kills like that, and also good control on the hermetic door switch
4-not as many angles as dome, pretty good vision on manhole and area between black and white knight

Lighthouse is so fucking bad. It's actually an unbearably shit map.

Lol there are so many nasty spots on customs. You can use the forklift to get on top of the containers inside of the depot warehouse. Lets you watch the gate entryway through the front door pretty easily, and people coming from behind can't see you right away. Vaulting was an absolutely insane addition to the game. The complexity of some maps just went through the roof.

I don't mind the pacing or waiting. My friends play at my pace 90% of the time anyway and I'll break off during fights if necessary. It's rare that they ever shoot me accidentally. I'm lucky that my friends are decent at the game in that regard. If I die first I just scav while I wait. I'm talking with friends so that part isn't what really annoys me. I don't usually play in more than a duo, either, and at most a trio. It's just the consistency with which I somehow always end up being the one to die through some horrendous combination of bad luck and boring assholes that annoys me.
I partially blame the current state of the audio. It's so absurdly powerful that you're encouraged to soundwhore to an obscene degree. Unfortunately nerfing the audio had a bad effect and caused players to move even less as they didn't have such a powerful crutch to lean on. I'm seriously hoping the work they're doing on the audio will lead people to be more mobile. Being able to hear players is important but I don't want it to be the two ends of the spectrum we've gotten this wipe.

Jokes aside gunsmith would be way cooler if they required the gun parts to be FIR, but the gun itself didn't need to be. But on top of that greatly loosen the requirements for the quest so you're essentially able to use a lot of different attachments. And completely remove the requirements for a specific attachment to be used aside from some of the ones that are way down the line. Gunsmith right now sucks because it's just a wiki quest that gives free exp, you just buy all the shit off flea and turn it in. Quests that don't even require you to go into a raid just don't belong in the game, it's already obviously got some problems because they had to time gate it. If someone is ratting the staircase in tarbank you can drop out the window at the cost of some broken legs. If someone is ratting the staircase in terragroup you can also jump out onto the veranda and maybe not break your legs on the way down. If they're ratting the main door you can run down the hall. On the ballistics calculator, any clue on how I know what multiplier to use for a scope? It says to put in the value myself, but how do I figure out the value? All I know is that mildots on the scopes aren't accurate.

Set the calculator for a tracer round (preferably with something accurate that can be stabilized with a bipod like a bolt action, also don't forget the velocity multiplier from a suppressor), go into an offline raid with a rangefinder (keep in mind that if you mount the RAPTR over your scope you may get a wrong reading because of height over bore so double check with the handheld rangefinder), find something to focus on at long range like a tree or something and see where the tracer and bullet hole goes. Then keep trying to hit the same spot when adjusting for bullet drop to double check.
I did some testing for certain scopes and here are my results
>March Tactical 3-24x - 2.80
>Schmidt & Bender 5-25x - 1.53
>IMS 5-25x - 2.45
>Vudu - 0.67
>Razor - 0.55
The Schmidt & Bender 1-8x seems to be the only scope that matches the 1.0 multiplier from the website so it's the most straightforward if you don't wanna fuck around with testing.
