I'm not really sure what 'humiliation ritual' even means. I mean, obviously there's what it sounds like, but most games, most RPGs especially, have you doing menial or humiliating shit. Remember that quest in Oblivion with the enchanted ring at the bottom of the well, that was so heavy that you probably rocketed to max encumbrance with it? Stuff like this or being sent to do menial tasks is part of the genre at this point. Do games have to be exclusively about massaging the ego of the player character? You run the risk of it becoming like the last two doom games where it's embarrassing how much the narrative sucks off it's own main character.

Henry will suffer in the game, just like he did in the first game. And you'll make others suffer. It's just in the spirit of things. But the ideas I saw /V/iggers spreading like "Henry has to watch the black guy fuck his love interest" is obviously entirely made up, and I have no idea how anyone believed that in the first place.

I think what Henry goes through, specifically in the prologue of KCD2, makes him more aware of how skewed the perception of people can be. He's treated like a beggar just because of his clothing and appearance. I don't think it's a stretch that he would extrapolate that to his opinion of Cumans.
