I am but that more shows the flaw. Without it it flashes that body before it gets overwritten by BnP. With it the body is normal until I change from the base body and back, then saving and reloading reapplies the BnP. This is making me think it's the most basic of bodies that's broken but verifying the game files didn't fix it.

To anyone who is interesting in modding unarmed combat for Skyrim:

There are four main maneuvers in boxing. The jab is the most obvious one, a punch using the leading hand. Next is the cross, which is delivered by punching with the opposite hand. Then there's the hook, which is a sideways punch using the lead hand. Finally, there's the uppercut.

In Skyrim, there are already perks for directional power attacks for weapons. If you were to mod in unarmed combat, then it would be relatively easy using these basic techniques as the foundation.

Left mouse: Blocking. You should be allowed to block, but with dramatically reduced protection.
Left mouse + right mouse: Power block, a shove attack that pushes enemies back and interrupts.
Right click: Jab. MCM can change which is the lead hand, but default is right.
Standing power attack: Cross punch.
Forward power attack: Haymaker.
Forward sprinting power attack: Body tackle. It's not a grapple, and it won't knock over large enemies, but medium and small enemies will be knocked prone.
Sideways power attack: Hook punch. Moving left uses a right hook, moving right uses a left hook.
Backwards power attack: Uppercut.

ALL power attacks while unarmed have a 25% chance to paralyze, and unarmed attacks should be modded so they do stamina and magicka damage to the targets they hit.

I consider 3DNPCs a must.
It has some really badly voice acted characters, some really good ones, and most are just fine. But the sheer amount of characters it has and the amount of dialog they have in itself makes it more than worth it. Literally everywhere you go in the game will have new NPCs, it's perfect for someone who's played the game so many times they memorized every NPC.

What made Starfield bad wasn't the creation engine's garbage ass code, or loading screens or even there only being like 6 random PoIs in a game that's meant to have thousands and relies entirely on them.

It's the writing. Starfield is painfully generic and uninteresting. That's what killed it.
Skyrim already got dangerously close to having the same problem, Fallout 4 DEFINITELY has it, 76 was killed by it, and so was Starfield.

The game being ES won't suddenly make Bethesda good writers. I'm too young to remember, but how did the rumors look around 2008-2010 before and after Skyrim was announced? Did people predict that Skyrim was going to be the next province? And once it was revealed, did everybody go back and read the books from earlier entries about Skyrim and speculate what we were going to see? It's genuinely so crazy, we had such a short amount of time between the games back then, because SI released back in 2007, three years later, we already had the Skyrim reveal and one year upon that, and the game was out. Imagine had TES6 released back in 2016. Where would we be now?
