I always try to unlock all the nodes for the characters that I use. The mats are not really an issue, you'll get more than enough by playing the game.

Some thoughts and theory about the next story after I finished the new story and literally nothing else in septimont:
-pretty short and very heavy on setting up future story
-it looks like we see the full power of Cristoforo. We actually seen his power in 2.3 ciaccona quest, where he could make people's fears into a reality.
-Echos act funky around the septimont, with something making them unstable, but no one notices it. Some kind of sonoro sphere?
-For whatever reason, Sentinel came to Septimont right after Arsinosa was born, but left after that and never came back again.
-It seems like fractsidus are using Lupa/Mya as a vessel for threnodian, or for second awakening, although, I can't exactly understand what connects both of them, other than similar personalities, kinda. Lupa appeared in Septimont right after Mya disappeared, so the possibilities of them being the same person are slim. most likely reflecting both sides of the same coin?
-Septimont is basically a perfect place for a threnodian to prosper.
-There was either some kind of massacre, or people were fine with murders in battles, as the amount of dead gladiators around the arena is insane, since the cutscene with Rover fighting against the horde of TD's reflects the dead gladiators.
-Did Mya go insane because she had to kill people and killed too many of them? Probably, if I had to guess.
-The strange thing that I don't understand, is why Rover couldn't sense Carth in the abandoned water district unlike with Lupa.
-Phrolova doesn't really work together with cristoforo from what it seems. She's just there to watch and waiting for some kind of setup to turn neutral/good in Rover's eyes. Most likely something related to dead people with Iuno and Augusta.
-My theory is that cristoforo powers rely on reality being similar to his "story" and people's emotions and actions feeding him, and that allows him to affect the reality. Shitty theory, but there's nothing to off from, unless I'm too dumb.

As someone whos actually played all 3 games, ZZZ yes, Genshin is iffy. Genshin is not friendly to new players at all, it has a very low primo per patch count and Imaginarium theater is basically impossible, however the variety of characters and good 4 stars make team building a lot easier than Wuwa. Characters like skirk and nilou are special cases that are very restrictive but in general there are a lot of options for teams for characters as opposed to Wuwa where cartethyia and zani are both fighting for rover if you didnt pull their limited BiS supports. ZZZ is incredibly f2p friendly, esp now anniversary is giving a lot of pulls and there are good f2p options for most character weapons as well as good 4 stars. The endgame also isnt too hard or punishing that it feels necessary to pull for specific characters besides maybe miyabi because she shits on the entire game. Weapons also arent mandatory, there are a few characters that do much better with them like miyabi and trigger but you can clear endgame easily without them. Teambuilding is also very easy, most stunners work fine in most teams, nicoles a phenomenal support, lucys great, pipers great. Its very comfy,
Tldr, play ZZZ, only play genshin if you want to wait 2 years for a decent account

The Crit Rate can be one of many different stats (that you probably don't care about, besides crit rate and crit damage)
