So I don't really understand "petrification" mechanic, and Other Side confuses things even more. If different darknesses produce different things (being a dark world object vs being a darkner), then why Lancer and Roulx Kaard are exactly the same darkners as before, which the same personality and memories? And then when they petrify, why they just petrify, instead of just turning into something else that this darkness flavor produces?
Initially I thought that when you open a Dark Fountain, objects become permanently "defined" by that fountain. They're themselves in own fountain, and they're still themselves in other fountains, but petrify afterwards. But in Chapter 3 Ramb and Zapper petrify. Does that means they were in some other dark world first? But they don't remember it.
