Obviously I still try to figure it out but Im like aware of the situation, where a game becomes random or disadvantageous due to mental patterns. I think it's because they have too many moves so the opponent's responses to my moves seem random, whereas with Kazuya they are more clear and deliberate. Take for example I do Xiaoyu AOP 1 (which has two extensions) into my ws2 and they df2 me to interrupt. What possible theory could I build regarding that very niche interaction that would lead me to believe the opponent "has a read on me"; maybe I could say "The opponent knows I'm not finishing my strings therefore they are interrupting". But how could they specifically know I'm not finishing THAT string out of my 2000 strings? And with most other things because Xiaoyu is an open ended book with so many possibilities, it becomes very difficult to see the opponent guessing right or counterhitting me as anything but random chance or luck.

But with the thing where I give up it may seem like a scrub mentality, but I don't mean it completely literally, it's just the first time I've ever been aware of my limitations as a player and the potential strength or unreadability of the enemy. I've never before felt I couldn't read my opponent, I always thought they were scrub mashers doing random shit.

Either way, this could be honeymoon phase since the change is so drastic and out of the blue. I suppose time will tell.
