Not really, Leviathans are either impóssible to take out or extremely easy if you bring the cuck chair, making them essentially a gear check. Unlike the rest of heavies, there's no way to outplay them with different loadout combinations, either take the cuck chair or take one out and spend some time running around with an empty RR backpack, which by the time you have refilled another 2 Leviathans will appear making any effort null and void.

The only reason people even bother to engage with them is due to how annoying they are. People were okay with them during the battle for Super Earth since there was actual cover and the civvies and SEAF would get targeted as well, making the RNG of a leviathan sniping you a considerable small number.

There is no reward to killing leviathans. They're numerous, constantly respawn and are easily avoidable. They do not pursue you, they only shoot at whatever enters their line of sight, they follow a predestined path from one map border to another.
They make vehicles of any kind impractical to use due to their tendency to instantly kill vehicles and the large areas of the map they can see at any time. In this way they also punish cooperative play in the cooperative game, it encourages the team to split up and complete objectives individually rather than everyone getting held up by a leviathan by traveling together.
Their projectiles are fast enough that they're effectively hitscan and impossible to avoid.
Engaging them at all merely wastes resources and vast quantities of time and leaves you open to randomly being instantly killed by them.
I quickly realized that engaging with them at all was a lame and pointless risk when I could just ignore them and be doing something useful.

So I tried a full arc build, and holy fuck the blitzer and de-escalator are terrible. The blitzer is the worst primary in the entire game, possibly even worse than all the secondary weapons too. Piss poor fire rate, fuck all damage, no range, won't chain enemies. I would rather use the constitution or anything else. Any anon who ever fellated this weapon is trolling or delusional. The de-escalator seems like it should be ranked at the same level or lower than the sterilizer in terms of power/utility. Hardly any aoe damage to speak of and it wouldn't even consistently stun chargers not that it would matter much when it did as the stun lasted for about a second. It really feels like this should have been a primary weapon especially given the reload speed, but at least it was able to do SOMETHING in terms of killing capacity unlike the blitzer. I used a jetpack as I don't have the arc dog yet but I imagine that would be even worse. The tesla coil is pretty good at least. Great challenge build though.

Bugs are basically just a CC check. You want wide DPS that can apply constantly, some sort of explosive for bug holes, double down on heavy kill because chargers are constant, and something to just handle getting overwhelmed cause you will eventually get outnumbered and will have to run or man fight everything.

I'd say the unholy triangle is Supply pack, gas grenades, and eats. You can effectively counter all of bugs with those two items.Making a build for bugs is swapping those 3 items out for something.

Wasp is worthless in every situation except Squids, where it’s so stupidly good running a launcher pair is very useful. It targets meds and annihilates them, normally bugs send out too many so the wasp has no value and the Automatons have so much armor you are better off with its antitank cousin the Spear in case of said armor, squids are just right where you can mow down Overseers and Tripods with their shields down easily and quickly. Needs a ton of room to fire however. It’s an auto pick for me on squids though.
