Don't be afraid of not using daggers, the unique moveset is good but it isn't better than spamming L2 on certain weapons
She's a DEX character with a better dodge first and foremost, very hard to go wrong with that. I have 100% winrate on her as of right now lol (9 or 10 games I don't remember)

She wants defense, because half of her good incantations require her to stand on top of the boss for prolonged wind up periods.
She wants reduced chance of being targeted so she can go full DPS with her incantations
She wants anything that reduces fp consumption because she's saving her shards for the nightlord
She's going to use whatever weapons she ends up with, that's why she's the true "no real specialist" character, because even Wylder wants to use a greatsword when he's hooking around for his relic.
Revenant just makes do with whatever she can scrounge from the RNG drop table.
I lost some today

Magic is guaranteed due to staves, fire is easy to find, lightning is harder and holy is the hardest by far. The strongest spells imo are magic/lightning as a general clearing/boss dmg one (remember to get the lightning remnant after hitting to load the next one), magic/holy once you have a good spell you want to burn the boss with, and then all the 4 triple element spells are good but the lightning bolt is likely the weakest and the iceblock is likely the best. Magic/fire/lightning is insanely good in bosses with adds because you will clear everything for free since the AoE is GIGANTIC, magic/fire/holy is great if the boss is easy to break the poise of, and the ice block is stupidly good in all situations because it's probably the most damage if you factor in the frostbite proc and you're literally invulnerable.
You get a feeling for using them, you're going to have to use them early on no matter what but once you have a decent spell (or just upgrade your staff to +1) you don't really need the small ones anymore, though sometimes you're just going to get remnants to regen FP so you need to burn the cocktail anyway.
Also free tip but please if you play recluse always get a melee weapon and keep them handy for reviving, I've seen way too many recluses failing to revive because they need to burn FP then press one times too many and get locked into the "this staff doesn't work" animation.

get a melee weapon unless you upgrade default claw but for the love of god do not try to stay close all the time you WILL die, use your summons, get in when a teammate staggers or close to with a collosal r2 jump, save ult to 3 bar revive OR for immortality, skeleton beam WILL miss dont waste the ult on the night lord for that (day 1/2 is fine)
she also gets a lot of FP so holy weapon ashes can be powerful too
best boost rewards are fp consumption and incant+, dont bother with hp or stam, poise only if it comes up and nothing else there for charged casting
and don't forget you are a healer too, look for regen, or at least remember you can stunlock those other revenants the bad kind with healing spells your team will thank you when they're not dead because you remembered.
if you do it all right it will be a hard run until you become a god tier caster near the end, use graces from each boss to replenish FP so you can actually cast on day 2

the biggest damage boost is to run the damage with x category and find that category, it's 10%, so ideally you would run dragon communion + lightning up on fulghur so lightning bolts just destroy him etc
1 point of vigor is just 20 hp, revenant has 800 hp at 15 and gains 20 hp from 780 to 800, meaning 1 point of vigor is the same as the last level on her which is why those gain relic stats I see as extraordinary bait
all the damage comes from your gear mostly, you just get more hp/stam/fp from levels

you should be using her ult aggressively, sebastian's ult attack will only miss if you're fighting a small or agile boss, otherwise it will hit and deal significant damage + stance damage.
her ult charges really quickly and if you're not spamming it whenever possible with a summon out you're not dealing damage to the boss. the revive should be seen as a secondary feature unless you're fighting something like tree spirit or BBH.
people really sleep on frederick's ultimate moveset but it's really useful and highly damaging

i think if they added any more heroes they'd be fairly different from anything in ER. Each of the the heroes take something to an extreme, super block, super poise, super cast, ashes spam, super rolling R1, super parry. Duchess & Wylder feel pretty distinct in comparison. It's hard to imagine another character that wouldn't overlap with the others. Even something like super jump heavy is built into Raider since his ult gives you one. Maybe a character with a super charge attack? Super backstep R1? Super spear charge? Someone with a mount?
