2nd Scenario feels like it's the most "true" ending to me and it's not really a contest. But then you have to ask yourself how it interacts with the time loop, and if that ending is actually able to "escape" the loop.
I'd be ok with accepting SF as the true ending if it weren't for the fact that basically nothing of plot significance happens on that route and it ends up feeling just kind of hollow at the end. I was almost expecting someone to go apeshit and kill everyone and go "sike it was actually a bad ending all along!" Like everything worked out a little TOO perfectly, I felt like it couldn't end there.
Apparently Kodaka said in an interview that the distress call during the first route's ending was just them learning the truth of the war on the second satellite. I don't think it was them being killed. So you can headcanon that after the end of SF, they arrived on the second satellite and learned the truth and had to explain to everyone that they spared the Futurans, and the military brass might have been pissed but they probably wouldn't have killed them right away, and the story would just progress from there. It wasn't presented in a very satisfying way but I guess that's decent enough for a true ending.
