A good person would decline that offer, and an evil person would accept that offer. But, despite that, it's understandable from a certain point of view. Not justified, but understandable. Once you have a wife or a daughter, you would do anything for them, including die. The problem is that killing someone else's daughter to save your own is just passing the buck to someone else, it's illogical and evil once you stop and think. But we understand that in his grief, he didn't stop and think, and he just got to the point where he didn't care anymore that it was illogical and evil, he fell from being a normal person, a happy selunite, to being the evil overlord. He did it eariler when he joined Shar, that's when he lost it all and fell into evil, so the segue to Myrkul is more of just a sidegrade to other evil rather than the initial fall.
He was a villain that was still very villainous that you had to kill for good reasons, but he's not just another despot wanting to rule the world, he had a personal and to some degree relatable motivation.

For dnd, good and evil are actual cosmic power sources, and there is a plane made of negative energy and a plane made of positive from which these things come. You can channel the power of good to shoot someone, and you can channel the power of evil to slice someone. An outsider, a being from another plane that visits Toril, can actually be made up of this energy. So it's very mucuh not true to say these are just terms in dnd.
As for real life, it's also not true. A sufficiently intelligent person can separate themselves from their own historical and cultural biases and determine whether a historical event or person was reasonably justified, or abides by universal morality. The reason you sometimes hear pseudo intellectuals say that phrase is because they don't believe in natural law and they are not sufficiently intelligent enough to conceptualize judging a person separated from your own cultural biases. Their inability to do it makes them say it can't be done.

Karlach reacts with outrage and refuses to take any part in it, because she's a good person who won't harm women and children. I'm playing through this with the lads but I struggle to pick a class and stick with it.
I really like Cleric but I also like Rogue - and unfortunately Rogue and Cleric don't mix well, and neither get an Extra Attack which is gay, but it also would limit me to finesse only weapons when I want to use the glaives that I find which look cool.
I think it'd be cooler if I could use the Swashbuckler Rakish Sneak Attack without finesse but I understand why I can't because imagine a big 2H sneak attack kek

I'm not sure you'll get that much mileage out of War Cleric's extra attacks, especially if you pick GWM, since they would become somewhat redundant. The other drawback is that it's a build that comes online pretty late. If you start as a Paladin, then you need 5 levels for Extra Attack, and then 5 levels of Cleric for relevant 3rd-level spells (most likely Spirit Guardians). Alternatively, you could start as a Cleric and grab 2 levels of Paladin to start smiting, but then you're limited by your War Priest charges for much of the game.

In every previous playthrough it would stay and fight to the death if I went to the tree spot, but this time it burrowed away in all 3 spots and while I can still get tremors in multiple spots, it has yet to resurface another time.
There's very little info and some people claim it can spawn from any tremor spot while others say if it runs 3/4 times it's gone forever. I know it's just some exp but i still wanted to kill it. HM btw, if that changes anything.

That just downgrades to being forces of natures with no free will. It's kind of why I don't look at Helm favourably. His loyalty and discipline are good strengths but they're so extreme that it makes him have no effective personality.

But if you just flee and come back 5 mins later without resting or whatever, the answer is most likely no. They just magically restore HP to full when a fight's over.

Also if resetting to lv 1 with a high CHA+Persuasion character to be the designated merchant character who has +100 Attitude with every trader is also cheating (400 gold vs 4,500 gold for attitude bribes, per trader).
You can also just cycle through disguises and try to rob every vendor of their good shit like 30 times each per character + companion + hireling. That takes out the abuse factor at the cost of having to put in hours of effort into stealing.
In general, you should be looting food, jewels, and equipment. You don't have to pick up every Rope and Rags but if it's double digits in gold, you should nab it as a general policy and that should be good enough unless you really want every single special gear in the game, in which case, that's like 100,000 gold or more per act and you are going to have to sit down and make some life choices to commit to.

She even pays you 200 gold per blood donation once you find out. Not that you need it or that gold is difficult to acquire, but still that's like 2k for free while you get your potions.

Bumping up the enemy HP to 100% extra was the correct choice. The extra enemies mod is nice, but my party has too much good AoE without that extra HP.
It will almost be sad to set down these characters after playing through the trilogy with them.

Laeโzel is one of my absolute favorite charactersโher intensity and raw honesty make every conversation interesting. I love how fiercely loyal and unapologetically blunt she is, and how her confidence sometimes borders on hilarious arrogance. The more I learn about her backstory and motivations, the more I appreciate the depth beneath her tough exterior.

So we've talked a lot about how only about 2.5% of people have completed the game on honor mode, but another interesting statistic is that only 5.5% have completed it on tactician.
Coming in at only 24% is completing the game at all on any difficulty. That seems low, but then you remember that it's actually relatively high compared to most other crpg, and that even just a measly 24% is above average for this genre.
The one that gets me though, and really brings back just how little normies actually play games, is the fact that 51%, just about exactly half, of players have gotten the achievement for leaving act 1. Leaving act 1. Only half the people who own the game have even left act 1.
These statistics explain a lot. When you hear people talk about this game, chances are they haven't even gotten to act 2, not to mention beaten it. Literally, chances are such. It's a coinflip if the person you're talking to has even gotten to act 2, and it's actually unlikely that they've beaten it, and if they have beaten it then it's unlikely it was on any difficulty other than easy/story. Really easy to forget.
