Base 1999 is pretty quick. 1999 Finale is a few days' worth of the in-game chat system and/or feeding the protoframes their favorite collectable thing.
As for romance, you can dick down any of the base protoframes you want. The Techrot encore crew is unromancable which is a shame as the best of the crew is Lizzie.

It will take a while until you can spam things. You'd want Streamline, Flow and Equilibrium on your frame. For Equilibrium to be really good, you want Synth Deconstruct on your companion. All of this might be a bit too much for a newfag. But that's OK. You don't have to do the mirror defense nogwave objective this week. You don't lose your "battlepass" missions in Warframe. They automatically get recovered once you're done with most of your missions in the following weeks. That means if you feel like doing the whole mirror defense thing is too hard for you right now, you can just try again in a few weeks. Hell, you can do the whole nightwave thing up to level 30 in just one week if you feel like it because you'll keep recovering missions once a few weeks/months have passed.
