Like, imagine if that was the original idea of the prophecy. It would have been two sisters, guided back together by the Angel to reunite and go on a grand adventure, with their former human friend facing them for some reason. But the story was found out by Carol/Kris/Dess and they didn't like the implications of what would happen to Noelle by the end, so they made moves to change all the roles.
Then, in Weird Route, we use their own methods to go one step beyond:

Finished Ch3+4 and have massively enjoyed Deltarune. With that said, I'm not sure if Toby Fox can write an ending that would be "satisfying" for a majority of people, no matter what it is, even if he already has it drafted.
