It's really good at cucking Alpha Commanders that get close to you or your squad but that's it for exceptional niche use case. Very middling otherwise don't take it if you're running solo.

could leviathans be made less annoying? certainly, but don't be so hyperbolic to say there's never defence against them ever at all any time and you are constantly being pelted by them continuously for the entire mission. what really happens is you drop in, you do some shit for a while, a leviathan floats over to your position and starts ragdolling you for a bit then fucks off and stops shooting at you after a minute. you don't need to be glued to your cuck chair firing at every leviathan the second it floats in form the edge of the map 300 meters away, and chances are good you're in a city that does provide some cover, and if it doesn't it's because the leviathan is literally on top of you in which case your orbital gatling or your eagle strafing run can easily deal with it for you

that's just three enemies with a shitton of ways to put them out of your way
compare it to fleshmobs (spam) and leviathans (blow out RR or ATe)

I'm ambivalent about the fact that popping a head makes it go into a frenzy state that breaks it out of any stun duration it might be under. it makes sense but also feels kind of bad that it can just get out of a stun like that

Plus, it's also no longer overpriced and more than worth getting the gold edition during a big sale like the summer/winter sale.

well that was a really weird bug. I was doing an illuminate rocket defence manning some emplacements. shit was going down , people died, my emplacements got destroyed, etc and then I noticed my deadeye's scope was dragging insanely badly, like the ergonomics of it were nuked. it still shot exactly where I was pointing the mouse at that time but the weapon drag was cranked up through the roof.
I tried recreating it by hopping onto and off of emplacements but it never messed up the apparent ergonomics. even destroying the emplacements while I was sitting on it didn't seem to do trigger it again

No, squids dont 'work well together' because nothing in this game 'works together'. When not in combat, mobs move as a patrol blob or stay still. On contact with the player, they will all move into range at their own best speed and attack until they die, eccentricities in movement behavior aside. A horde of voteless just on its own? Easily dispatched with even just a melee weapon. A horde of voteless with a fleshmob in it and flanking flying overseers spamming HE grenades? Now you actually have to do more than just stand there and swing, you need to prioritize what target to take out, you need to think about positioning, about how much time you have to kill voteless before that grenade goes off or that fleshmob reaches you, you have to be aware of the position of multiple enemies. That's a practical example of synergy.

Most weapons work, and honestly the scythe isn't too terrible now that the fire damage got buffed, but there are many better alternatives.
Libcarb, Tendie and the killzone SMG are all decent dps light pen weapons to kill voteless & fleshmobs.
Reprimand, Abjudy and Dominator can handle overseers and harversters thanks to medium pen, while also having good(great in case of the repri) DPS.
Fire shotguns are also good thanks to buff, ability to do good, wide damage vs voteless and mobs
Eruptor is surprisinly also very convenient, just awful to hit the flyfag overseers
