Going north means Konstaltyn and Malakai rape my ass.
I've tried 15 different positions and reloads.. he 100% always breaks my ambush. I have tried sieging, he brings stacks out of the shadow. Tried baiting him with an empty lord.. no chance, he just camps his city.

That's what the guns are for. Antilarge units are a priority target, only a bit behind flying/mobile units.

If you're playing gunpowder, you'd have to do it with an infantry frontline too anyway. The only difference is that the cavalry being faster gives you faster reaction time and more time to keep shooting, meaning you end up doing LESS micro, not more.

Just get Knights of the Black Rose, they will outperform both halberds and greatswords in prolonged melee.

Cavalry also has way more mass, which avoids you one of the biggest problems Empire consistently has, which is units just running past your frontline to get onto your guns.

I hate any and all events that cuts your campaign movement. Which is why for Greenskins I rarely ever call a Waaaargh. The worst one though is that bullshit mystery meat event. That should really be a dilemma where you can choose to serve it which gives the default replenishment increase but lose movement, or refuse to serve it so you don't lose movement but have leadership penalties since the army doesn't eat.
