It's a really old fan manga, think it's from the 90's even? It's a Z sequel that ignores GT. The art is pretty rough to look at, but it felt like the writers were trying to understand DB, there's even a moment where Satan swallowed a dragon ball to prevent villains from getting it (IIRC), but they just got him and he had to come up with whatever trickery necessary for them to just not cut him open and get the dragon ball anyway. I think Shenlong was even summoned while a dragon ball was still in Satan's stomach!

Yeah the promotional anime helped spread awareness of DBH, but it's more so based on the ideas and plot beats, there's little interest in the game itself (Since it's not an action/fighting game). I'll have to go through the manga tomorrow. It's said or implied somewhere 17 was the stronger of the two, even if by only a little. i loved SDBH Goku Black, because he was main timeline Black taken to the Nth degree, in a scenario where he rejected leaning on Zamasu after Fuu warned him about his otherwise inevitable future. i never liked the reveal that Black was just another Zamasu, or that he disappeared into Fused Zamasu for the latter half of the arc. so SDBH Goku Black is some of the absolute best What-If wish fulfillment in the whole of Heroes, for me. his outfit is really cool, too. definitely one of the better "Xeno" looks, if you ask me.

I've been playing Divinity Original Sin recently, and I've been wondering if the same style of cRPG would be possible with Dragon Ball
Fusions is the immediate point of comparison with its party turn based combat with consideration of your position on the battlefield, but where it falls short in that comparison is in the transition between the combat state and exploration
cRPGs like DOS are elegant in that regard, with combat taking place in the very same locations, each explorable area potentially doubling as a unique battle arena. You can see enemies in advance, attack them preemptively with the same abilities you'd normally use in combat, or even position your party in advance
Fusions in contrast is more disjointed, each of its states existing in a vacuum, like a jRPG (shocking). 3D exploration and Zenkai attacks are cool, but their relation to the actual main battle system is tenuous at best
Now I understand part of it is a setting problem, it's hard to justify a lot of level design quirks if everyone can fly, or caring about terrain and line of sight if you can sense opponents anywhere and destroy any terrain, but ultimately you could say that about a lot of games, and it is forgivable in service of a good experience
Of course changing design philosophy from easily generated random enemies in two or three static areas to full on static encounters in a wide world is a difficult proposition, but there are many choices and compromises that could be a point of discussion if Fusions 2 was made to iterate on what we got in 1.
Instead the devs have been saddled with a MOBA.

Not that I have anything against a battle royal, it's just that the last 'proper' arc of Super was one and it'd be a bit much to follow it up with another one.
I guess you could do a round-robine type of team tournament so you can keep the results not too predictable without making Goku lose every single time too.
Or a Maximum Tournament type thing, where only Goku out of the main cast enters because otherwise, you'd bloat the tournament with too many of the mainstays.

The story caused a big split in the super hero community, characters who were previously friends were now enemies, a bunch of them were written poorly to take registration side even when they were against it before. It was very much based on the whole War on Terror thing since the story was made a few years after 9/11 happened.

Basically, the difference is that the comics caused a nasty division and made heroes fight each other a lot, the idea of this fanfic would be similar, characters being in opposing sides of politics and fighting over it.

That is what was happening, Vegeta was wanted, he was fighting the mechas and Goku had to teleport him away before Vegeta killed anyone, so that was reasonable of Goku.

Another funny thing was future Trunks showing up because Black was attacking his timeline, and that is immediately forgotten about once Trunks hears Vegeta killed people (Was actually that android pretending to be him) and he takes the government's side to actively hunt down Goku and Vegeta. Ironically one idea of the story, RRA backing up the government to hunt down Z warriors, could work a little better now after Super Hero (Though, it's a now villainous Flappe, and his connection to RRA is a secret), since Hedo says Gammas could be mass produced, on top of how powerful Cell Max would be if he were finished. Had Piccolo not stopped RRA, things would've taken a turn for the worse real fast.

Though not like RRA being behind this is the point, it's the split and broken friendships, even if, the split is extremely half assed since none of the characters would take the government's side even before it turned out the ones on the government's side would have to hunt down former friends...

Saiyan Conqueror Quest, following a Saiyan named Karn that goes on multiple excursions fighting shit and conquering planets (and adopting like a dozen kids because of said conquests). It has all the autism of an early 2000s fanfic, right down to having a bunch of crossover shit like Frieza's forces battling the Covenant or Jojo Stands existing or some planets being conquered being worlds featuring Isekai protagonists, just tied together in a very fun "smashing action figures together" kind of way. Also has a Supreme Kai of Time that went off the deep end and started down the path of Chrono Cross' Time Devourer by constantly trying to fix/reset timelines even if it means taking over her own alternate/reset selves. It's still objectively better written and more entertaining than Multiverse by a country mile.

The other is Tuffle Quest, which features twin Tuffles (named Maple and Acer, and later their three kids) made by Dr. Raichi that got abandoned on Earth for failing to be vengeance-driven Saiyan haters like he wanted. It is based on a very heavily altered Path to Power timeline that features nearly every aspect of Dragon Ball and other Toriyama works one can think of (movies, Super, GT, Heroes, more obscure videogames, Jaco and the other Galactic Patrol series) woven together in a way that does its best to make some kind of sense of it all that still keeps a surprisingly genuine "feel" of Dragon Ball. Chick who runs it also has Dragon Ball autism that makes whatever Salagir has look fucking surface level, but I say that in a positive way.

NTA but a very funny thing, in Tuffle Quest there was a plot where Majin Ozotto was attempting to use a Hakkero for gathering Negative Energy, which got destroyed by Peppa (Maple's half-Saiyan daughter), the resulting explosion of accumulated power accidentally creating a chaotic Saiyan-Tuffle-Demon hybrid that's been going around the Demon Realm bullying Dabura's armies and causing havoc. When asking the Supreme Kai of Time if such a thing has happened before in other timelines, she vaguely alluded to Xicor and Goku Black being the closest things she could think of, then talked shit about West Supreme Kai and Zamasu (not by name but it was clear it was them) for being responsible for such incidents.

Did have a boss fight against the Goku from Legend: A Dragon Ball Tale (pic related) before finding out about that though (Ozotto and Towa were attempting to turn him into another masked minion and it backfired). That was really fun.

Glorio is still working for Arinsu (who is opposed to Towa) and was able to convince the Cell Sentai (a team of six separate Cells with different specializations like Magic or Physical power or Ki focus rather than the singular one Gero made in canon) to consider seeking out her aid given their lack of loyalty toward Towa and Dabura. Towa herself planted a new Tree of Might on a ringworld and was testing it on planets in the Second Demon Realm, trying to create a tree that would bare fruit constantly instead of needing to be replanted by moving it around and draining other planets dry (which we destroyed).

Ironically have shades of the Gammas too even though they got introduced in the Quest way before Superhero was an idea in Toriyama's head.

It's a bit of both, really. The start of it is already an alternate take on the Path to Power movie, so from the get-go you have a thing where the Red Ribbon Army arc happened at the same time as the first Dragon Ball hunt. Things went off the proverbial rails very quickly, and while there are still some similar events at similar points like the World Tournaments or King Piccolo or Raditz showing up, the connective tissue there has things go wildly differently. Goku for example actually hits Super Saiyan extremely early, facing off against an empowered (but not immortal) Garlic Jr. who faced him at the 23rd World Tournament. Yamcha and Bulma end up together through some considerable effort on the part of the players and even have a daughter, Pantea, who ends up childhood friends with Videl. Lapis and Lazuli are never made into Androids because Gero got hired on by Towa to help her create Demon Androids, instead the pair are befriended by Krillin far earlier. And that's just a few things that have happened in the Quest.

As far as the events of "Kai" it goes like this:

>Janemba's disturbances accidentally break open Buu's egg on the Supreme Kai's planet, but it's dealt with quickly with Good Buu, South Supreme Kai, and Grand Supreme Kai getting freed and Kid Buu defeated
