let me guess, the popular streamers all played artifact portal because that's all i see in ranked now...exact copy paste each time.
I spend a few thousands on sv1 (didn't play every sets and had to spend on packs and to get leaders i want) but don't think I'm gonna be buying anything in wb. The biggest reason is if my f2p friends can't get proper decks by just playing, they're not gonna play, and I don't really give a shit about playing if that's the case.
I'm sure there are other people like me that would have spend money in a game with better economy but just wouldn't play at all in one like this. Wonder how much business loss that would be for them.

It isn't just a problem where total shitter decks with 1 legendary are losing to 12 legendary whale decks. It's that players who can scrape together a set of 3 deck defining legends will roll over those players with 1. And then those players lose to people with 6.
The cards are designed differently from the original Shadowverse so legends tend to hold far more raw value than in the last game, and due to that a lot of decks can justify stuffing in a ton of them.

The big problem with abyss is that they printed three value legendaries that do nothing to win the game so you have to spend a ton of resources to build a deck that does nothing except stall your opponent's victory

How essential is Kuon to Earth Rite? I finally decided fuck it and just linked my Google account, and I wanted to try a decent Earth Rite deck, but I've realised that I already own 3 copies of every card the starter deck gives other than Kuon, Juno, and Edelweiss, where I only have 1 of each. Not sure if it's worth taking the deck just for a second Kuon, or if I should grab something else.
If I should, any suggestions of what to grab? Earth Rite interested me the most and I'm kind of ambivalent to most of the others. I like Havencraft's amulet gimmick, but I really hate playing pure control in games.
