Don't use your skill on really big bosses or ones that move around too much, I only use it on medium sized enemies that swing a lot like crucible knights
Your ult is also a heal so you can save it for when you're low, unless it's a boss that staggers easily from it like tree sentinel its usually not a great damaging ult like other characters (especially since some bosses will just kill you through it)

If you're asking me for the way I like to play him, I like to dual wield katanas and do a jump attack build. He has a really high draw rate for the nagakiba which is the longest katana in the game, so it's really easy to find the weapons you need. You just need to route for 2 mines.

Played with a duchess spamming glintstone pebble and become a npc afterward essentially wasted 40 minutes of my time. People play for 10 hours read a codex and influence others to make poor decisions. A spell caster does not even need the dodges duchess has, makes poor use of restage and has lower output in everything imaginable. The int is useful is wielding int scaling weapons such as moonveil and in situations where magic projectile is preferred such as against augur. Next time i see a duchess throwing out glintstone pebbles im going to lose it

It ended up being the standard Wylder/Ironeye/Recluse team.

Getting one ailment resistance buff is pretty nice since I think just getting one prevents the bleed proc on the munch attack and makes the move not a one shot. I even survived with a squishy when I got the resistance buff plus a health upgrade

But it's not like you have to specifically hunt for dagger. If you get a good dex or better yet dex/int weapon (like Moonveil for example) — just use that instead, it would almost always be better than a dagger even with it's free restage.

either you should go for starting dagger has bleed/frost (and watch cooldown/damage) or for stamina returned on hit and watch cooldown/damage, her best trait by far is that she has the stat spread to use basically anything you find decently well and combined with restage it all works well, stacking up a specific weapon type in your relics limits your options a lot. Ive had runs where I used Gurranq's Boulder, Ancient Dragon Lightning Strike, Adulas Moonblade, a bow with barrage and the bosses weakness, a scythe with an off hand staff with frozen armament, etc it just all depends, you gotta stay flexible. all that said daggers are good and youll find them pretty commonly, cold wakazashi is fantastic as is bleed/cold misericorde, bloodstained dagger etc or whatever else you might stumble on

People always sleep on using ashes of war, and the Heolster and Duchess Dew relics together gives a free 21% more damage to any magic/fire/lightning/holy ash of war damage. You can try it on the dummy
