My last run--the one we actually won--was my worst by far, and I destroyed Adel with Meteorite.

I only play Revenant, can other classes solo if your randoms are permanent floor tanks? Guardian already is. Executor can perfect guard all attacks and respond with inherent bleed and status spam due to high Arcane when not actively deflecting. Raider can just tank through attacks while continuing to attack, and prefers big bonk weapons so stancebreaks are expected. Guardian is reliant on enemies actually attacking him to get any mileage out of his abilities, so he's gotta have something when he's not targeted.

I haven't played with any passwords because i don't really care but i doubt there's much difference. The one thing i can see being an improvement is that you wouldn't have to worry about being matched with a duo who don't bother trying to ping for you. I'm 1 for 3 with randos, but that's primarily due to not knowing the fight. Otherwise, the 6 players I was matched with were easily the best overall. Everybody knew to clear the castle, target the field bosses on day 2, not prioritize churces over everything else, complete the volcano, etc.

Maybe I got lucky, but it seems like players doing Everdark Sovereign no what they are doing.

I queued every boss solo and played with randoms in the first few days, as well as a few remembrances, and pretty much played nonstop before using the erg password.

From a emotional and story perspective it makes more sense. We see them pretty often since both can spawn in the reading room and he does mention her in his dialogue. It's been discussed to death over a year now the problems people have with it and it's level of quality and the lore ramifications compared to the base game. That said I did still like it, but it's an 8.5/10 range similar to how I felt about ds3 when I expected it to up the ante like old hunters did. PCR I hate for several reasons but I do like that ge actually was hard. But imo he was hard in the most boring way and lacks cool memorable things over other bosses we've fought before, his previous self included. the bigger issue with skills is you tend to aim for buffing incants and it can be hard to swerve into skills, often others can use the warrior jar shard whereas only you as a revenant make use of the incant stuff

The base game did not do it worse, the dlc open maps are more layered and condensed but they offered far less unique moments and had much worse enemy variety. And you still have to fight several bosses you were guaranteed to be sick of after the base game with the new encounters just being those hippos and wicker men. And the bears. Those blue and red flowered locations feel like they offer absolutely nothing unique even on a first time through.

Just make his halberd charge attack passive affect charged guard counters, which are his signature move, and make his reflect passive give enemies a debuff that decreases their resistances by 10%.

I play Duchess so I prioritize forts.

For me it's something like Drop > Baby Camp > Fort > Evergaol > Mine > Castle > Field Bosses, hitting whatever churches are on the way.

When I play Revenant, I just trade Forts for Cathedrals.

If I use something like a colossal sword on Guardian is that like, a bad thing? It's a requirement to stick to halberds pretty much? I found a Zweihander and just sorta stuck with it

Not really? Just simpler, but you can use estoc swords as well. You can use pretty much anything you want, it's just that Guardian isn't really a damage dealer, so you're encouraged ot pick weapons that let you poke while keeping the shield up.

Guarding in general is shit. It doesn't avoid status effects. It doesn't do anything against grabs. You're only defended in one direction. You can lose a fuckload of stamina from a hit (if you're not using his passive). To top it all off, his damage is outclassed by basically everyone else. He's useless.

The bloodborne relic works extremely well for Guardian against elemental attacks.
As long as you keep shield poking you're pretty much guaranteed to get most if not all of your health back.
And physical attacks won't reset the heal since they're 100% blocked by the shields to make things even easier.

It also has great synergy with the charged guard counter since it is multihit, so if you got hit while charging it you're more or less guaranteed to recover everything back.

That's a good question. Why does Starscourge have so many moves Promised Consort doesn't? Does Consort use Collapsing Stars? Because I don't remember him using it.

You can't spam it and it costs quite a bit of stamina to enter the stance already, so I think it wouldn't be too OP while giving him a tool to bypass some of the more bullshit attacks.

Best routing ive seen so far is doing whatevers around and doing castle cellar boss + the crucible knights/trolls/banished knights after the first zone closes in at around level 5
Usually ends with good gear and level 10-11, very comfy and a easy tell if your randoms are decent at the game or not
