valve has a talk where they mention how the F2P "experiment" in TF2 led to the playerbase multiplying 7 fold and profits also multiplying 3-fold as a result, as the mannconomy update was released a year prior and introduced the mannco store and ofc crates. F2P may introduce tons of kiddos who never spend a penny in the game, but it also has the slim chance of introducing a whale that somehow got the game because it was free but then spent $50 every week on it or some shit, making up for all the non-paying F2Ps

If I deal 150 damage to a scout, more often than not the only person who can finish that kill is a scout hitting a 30 damage chip shot.
