Sol Erda conversion is actually much better than I thought since it doesn't require you to be at 20 before using it.

Even with just 1 extra character doing the dailies that cuts down the time required for a mastery node from 20 weeks to 16. Add in high mountain with the 5 sol erda bonus per week and it cuts down to 8. Now if only the daily itself could be made shorter this would be even better. Even for reboot where you're fragment limited instead of erda limited this could also be used to get a shit ton of vip boosters for your main.

It does, but I think it would still be useful. If you're focusing on one character, pushing excess Sol Erda from characters who have enough 6th job progress to be where you want them to be can help boost the one character. There's also no restriction on when you do the conversion, so as long as you do it before a character hits 20 and starts wasting energy you're good. In terms of hoarding Sol Erda I only really see a point to that when new skills are released for instantly boosting your main. Since there's only about 3 weeks until the second half of the update which will have the 3/4 cores, that means you could get about 12 Sol Erda per character if you do the daily on all of them which would give you 3.6 Sol Erda for your main.
Also, if you're at the point where this is even something you could consider for getting extra Sol Erda, you're also most likely at the point where the cost of additional fragments is a nonissue, so there's no worry about saving the Erda on one character to boost skills when you have enough fragments. I'm not sure how useful it is in KMS since they don't have the daily, but since we do might as well try to figure out the best use for the extra Sol Erda we have.
For vip boosters the patch notes don't say that there's a daily limit so in theory you could get as many boosters as you want for a day to grind with, though any extra boosters are always useful.

Around 6 months ago I created a thread voicing my concerns about the absence of certain systems that are present in KMS (like the Gold Coin system, an economic balance lever) and most importantly the missing Magic Wand system that significantly helps gear development in Reg Server.

The current situation is the following:

-We only get Karma Cubes in the shop - and given the shortened duration of the Challenger World event, there’s practically no chance to farm enough to buy out all the useful stuff

-Classic tools we usually rely on, like Frenzy Totems, are locked behind Philosopher Books in form of CoR (~500 bucks on avrg if my math isnt too far off) - a totem you can mostly use only for yourself

-Daily cubes from bosses? Extremely limited, because drop gear is near nonexistent. That, combined with a lack of progression safety nets, makes gearing in Interactive feel even more frustratingly RNG-gated than usually. (Also doesnt help that the Auction House is dead dry)

When you look at how CW2 is doing in KMS, it becomes clear that there's a vision behind behind all the systematical changes in the past in KMS - it show that progression in Reg Server has been streamlined in a good way with systems like Gold Coins/Magic Wand. You are able to cube your tradeable gear with mesos, put out stuff into the market, buy Maple Points at a healthy rate, exchange them for content like Epic Dungeons and so on... But right now, it feels like Interactive players in GMS are getting left behind more and more -

To add insult to injury, port overs from GMS Dev Team for systems like the loot distribution have failed cause it seems like GMS has trouble with fitting that content into Heroic - Honestly, I am not too optimistic for all the future content that is not going to be developed with Heroic in mind, let alone all the systems that are going to rely on Maple Points and a healthy market...

Would love to hear thoughts from both sides on this. Anyone else feel the same way?

Is there a list of what buffs you should try to use for bossing? I'm pretty new to the game, started with mo xuan's release cause I saw some clips and it just fuckin struck me perfectly, I got up to 260 with a bit of grinding and following some guides before that event ended, but now, at 6th job, I'm able to clear a lot of stuff (I'm able to do up to around easy lucid) without too much thinking, just using my origin and doing my best to just do damage as often as I can, but I feel like I'm missing out on power from buff items. I know about like boss damage potions I think? But that's really it, I see people with insane amounts of buffs on their screen when I watch videos but people go over them so fast I'm just not sure what they are.

just check practice mode buffs its pretty much those and a few gms only specific ones like showa town market candied apples but that's only 7 stat

yea just check out the practice mode buffs that'd be most of the important ones, one thing to note is that there's separate categories of buffs basically and they each go into their own groups of buffs so some buffs overwrite other buffs, but the practice mode ones are a good starter base. anything else would be gms specific buffs, like tengu buff is 20 attack for 60mins which takes the slot of onyx apple another gms only buff but it also is the same slot as warrior elixir which is only 12 attack for 8mins, so it is better

Anyone who has reached even midgame in Reboot would know a fully automatic loot distribution system does not work for Reboot.
For grindstones, most parties rotate drops - if you win one grindstone you're out of the rotation until everybody gets one. Automated loot distribution would break this.
Enhancements/Gene badge - you really only need one and lots of people who have the enhancement still run the boss for their party. Automated loot distribution would break this.
As people got stronger, the meta shifted to splitting Kalos/Kaling parties to bring mules. These mules generally do not grindstone loot. Automated loot distribution would break this.
Realistically the only people crying for an automated loot distribution system are the sub 100m shitters still doing 6 man ctenes

Because GMS is the only server where reboot made up a significant majority. Even on KMS, reboot was like never more than 10% of it's playerbase until riiiiiiiiight around where they announced they were shutting it down, and people started figuring out just how much easier it was to progress. Obviously it's less profitable, so they shut it down.
Lots of other regions never even got it because they couldn't justify splitting their players, or the sheer amount of bullshit legacy content or p2w made it unfeasible. If you think it's shitty that senpaitachi can't be upgraded there outside of apology blues, you should see CMS where you have to pay real money to unlock the ability to get higher than 15* on items (you still have to gamble and can still boom, but you have to pay just to be ABLE to gamble). It just wasn't a realistic idea.

Nah Mech is fine to play if you enjoy the playstyle, it's just that the OG resistance trio (WH, Mech and BaM) have been neglected for a long time, BUT they actually got good buffs in the latest KMS update while demon slayer got nerfed.
Realistically most classes will just bounce up and down the damage charts throughout the games lifespan, the only class you could say that the devs hate is Wild Hunter (if you ignore classes like Kanna that don't exist in KMS), who has pretty much been near the bottom of the list for most of the game's lifespan while being clunky as fuck to play despite that.

TLDR: So long as you don't pick Wild Hunter or Kanna you are probably fine.

For me wh has always been jaguar micromanagement so I personally wouldn't want them to rework it into a reskinned bm. How does guardian slime work? Every guide talks about how there's some sort of secret to the slimes and how you need to use those rocks but I usually just ignore it entirely and then he ends up stunned anyway?
It takes for-fucking-ever though which means it usually heals. Even when I do put the rocks down the slimes just ignore that portal. Am I only supposed to let them in the lower portion?
Also what should I be doing with 6th job stuff? I saw a bunch of people saying it gave them a like 2-3m power boost but I got... nothing. Literally 0 boost from upgrading my skills.

slime is pretty simple, pick your favorite color and take some time to put 3 rocks by that portal while doing some dps. to be consistent and so we don't have to think further let's say it's always the blue one
when it does the slime wave, use the interact crystals to block off all the entrances except your favorite as quickly as possible, prioritizing the higher 2 portals first. when the slime wave hits the crystal they will bounce off and go in the opposite direction. if you do it successfully the slime wave phase will immediately end and it will be stunned. slime's damage resist is lower here so take that opportunity to burst it down, it's roughly every 3 minutes so your burst is probably synch'd up to it
everything else is just not dying

if they enter an open portal they'll start from the top again, up to 3 times until you fail or time out

on tests after the first you can rarely get a golden slime wave which works the opposite way, you send it through a portal which is NOT blocked to pass the test, and you only get one attempt

Man, I hit 260 for the first time with challenger world and it's kinda crazy how huge the difference in quality is. Epic dungeon is surprisingly fun even if a bit grindy, bossing is just challenging enough that it takes time to finish but doesn't feel like a chore, everything seems pretty much perfect. Wonder why it couldn't have been this good throughout all of 5th job when I played more religiously.
