I'll be honest, league felt much better to play than dota.
Don't get me wrong, dota is the better game by miles. The heroes are unique, the items are impactful, the builds aren't set in stone and vary from game to game. There is always a way to comeback (and throw).

But it is a team game. The freedom this game gives you is also given to other players. I've had countless games as pos1 where my support doesn't pull, leeches exp all the time without ever leaving me alone, just doesn't leave the lane ever. The game I've played right before writing this post I've had a ringmaster who did all that and kept taking the forward camps on the downtime when the wave was pushed, denying me those vital camps. I rushed Silver Edge as Slark this game, guess what. This subhuman just wasn't buying wards, sentries nor observers. Using the invis or getting some regen off barrakuda was impossible without dewarding, pos4 was buying some wards so we got at least some vision but it wasn't enough. And playing pos3 isn't any better, often times my support doesn't contest the other support and I just get poked relentlessly when trying to farm. Every wave is pulled etc. Of course not every game, sometimes I get the better support or it's even, but those games are more memorable due to the amount of cancer I have to endure.

In League you have to strictly follow the meta and sit in your lane for most of the game, in higher elo a better draft auto wins the game. Your focuses should be getting your first item early. An anon here recommended me the diff into aghs slark build as it's the most popular one. It's true, but I feel like getting Shadow Blade in my Archon elo is much stronger. You get both attack speed and damage and a strong ganking tool on top of that.

I've played offlane last game and had a slark pos1, his pos5 fed 2 kills and left the lane while spamming to report pos1. Slark proceeded to just afk farm and built a midas. By min 20 he had an Echo Sabre and a Shadow Blade and he just got a few random solo kills using the stealth. He was very strong and had by far the highest networth by the end of the game
