They're doing construction in my building and between the flood lights and the noise I've had to bring work home to get caught up when this was all WFH before.
A few of us tried using noise reduction headphones and someone complained it made us look unapproachable.

It was a mystery bootleg I found at a thrift store a few years back. Now bootlegs aren't terribly uncommon to find whilst thrifting, but whereas most are just offical releases compressed and burned to dvd, this one was unique. It had it's own menus with fake options, and the ones that were there were misleading. It claims to have both English and Japanese audio, however no matter what language you select, it will play the Movie in Dutch. However it does have English subtitles, but said subtitles are comparable to Backstroke of the West if you're familiar with that bootleg. Sometimes it slips into Indonesian, and 2/3rds of the way through the movie it gives up and puts up subtitles for a completely different movie. It's a real trip, and fun to watch with freinds

For me personally, I reuse palettes for consistency, and once I start layering textures or shadows and highlights, the eyedropper tool isn't reliable to use on areas I've drawn.

It leans a lot more towards being a shooter than being an RPG (albeit a splash of RPG elements exists) but at the same time, its not your typical run-n-gun kind of affair. Its strong point in general, is the situations the player finds themselves in and what they make of it. The fact that its not holding your hand is also a big appeal, it just gives you enough context to get you started and the rest is up to you. I can see how it can turn people off with its rough edges but those who stick around get a truly unique experience that no other game can come close to, except maybe the Metro series but thats still a tad different and also cheating since its been made by former Stalker developers. If you are to jump back into it, go in blind and without any distractions to really immerse yourself into the game, dont be afraid of making mistakes and just follow your gut and finally, remap the medkit, bandage and quicksave keys.

First attempt, no guides whatsoever, I got Emi and got the GE.
Then I started using a guide and got both Rin and Lils' GE, in that order.
It was a crescendo up until this point, and my intuition told me the next two would be anticlimactic, and so they were.
Maybe I would have appreciated Shizu's route more if I found her attractive, but I just don't. Conversely, Lilly's attractiveness prevented me from noticing her character flaws until much later.

Only thing that stuck with me about the Emi's route was the shed scene, aside from that I don't have much to say about her. She's probably the least profound character overall, which is not the same as saying she's a bad person (you could say that basically, she's a reverse Lilly)

Put a bunch of kids in the woods with a bunch of college kids to look after them and there's always bound to be some happenings. In-between my first and second summer the main lodge and kitchen burned down, so until they could get a replacement built a year later we had to spend that summer eating out of a giant tent (like the ones they use for fireworks stores) and food trucks for food. Somehow we still got the highest rating in the state from the health inspector, though that's probably more an issue with the other camps than our greatness.

My most memorable experience was when another counselor snapped and walked out on his cabin in the middle of the night, so now his kids became my kids until he came back hours later acting like nothing was amiss. He was not allowed to lead cabin groups after this.

Another fun part of the camp was since we had the only open feild in what was otherwise miles of dense forest, it was the only place around to land helicopters to airlift people who would get into accidents on the nearby highway. So the plan was always to throw a "surprise pool party" to keep them 1. Distracted and 2. In an enclosed area whilst the rest of the staff turned the front feild into a make shift airport basically. Ah yes, thats a classic, although for me it was school desks or even chairs with all sorts of writings on them. One that has stuck with me was back in middle school, was communicating through said desk writings. For context, that school building was supposedly housing 2-3 different schools so every other week we'd go there starting from the middle of the day instead of the morning so classrooms were pretty much shared through these "shifts". One time i decided to stuff on my desk and to my surprise, i saw a response being written the next time i sat on that desk. Really the goal was to get the anatomy down right. Not perfect, but passable. Getting used to Krita was also a bit of a learning curve, and I'm still not there yet. The shadows and eyes are the two parts I feel like need the most improvement. I had actually done the shadows already, but accidentally put them on the same layer as my refence images, so when I deleted that layer I deleted the shadowing too, and I kinda forgotten what I did. I also just realized I forgot to add weight to the outlines. Well I guess things to learn for next time I guess

I'd say if you want to view Lilly as a decently profound character, her metaphysical beliefs should also account for something, unless there's no actual faith to speak of and she simply happens to be mirroring what she was taught at her Catholic middle school, where she was sent simply because it was the best education money could buy (we're all familiar with fancy anime school names starting with a "Saint", of that I'm sure).

In the last months Ive become more interested in gamedev. I have been looking into rendering and some series on youtube about creating an engine on windows(handmade hero). This will prob become my bachelor thesis/ project. The math is fun and I'll prob want to create something.

Sounds like a great challenge, i guess the main benefit and motivator is that you get to dictate what it is capable of so there's no real restrictions besides ones own ability to bring this to life. Personally i've only got my hands dirty with modifying existing games to my liking and sharing my work online with decently good reception so i guess i could call myself half a decent modder.

Not everything has to be avant garde or shake the foundations of one's thinking an emotions to be good. Sometimes the shinniest gems can be small too. My only real dive into writing was many years ago. Looking back on it, its not 100% bad or cringe but it can definitely use a facelift. I think my biggest issue would be the pacing since one cant tell when exactly is the right time to say, introduce a character, how long there's gonna be a turmoil between characters and so on. One thing i can say for sure is that my writing (if any at all) is heavily influenced with personal experiences in my life but also from other media sources. Not so much self-inserting but more about passing along things i've experienced in a way that it fits along the story which im hoping that is interesting enough.

Very well said, it is this beauty that drives us to create and to an extend, our thoughts on it. For my own "creations" specifically i tend to think "I really want to see this through and be able to experience this!" and i sure wish i had such strong motivation for bigger projects but some things can be daunting and progress is halted before i even truly begin.

I know bits of it and a general theme so i'd say im mixed on it. Im not against a tragic line of events but they gotta have a meaning and moments of redemption. If its bad for the sake of being bad then no thank you. I guess it would depend on what would you want out of your story but i like a balance in all kinds of portrails and not nessecarily have a perfect ending, but not one that makes me question why i bothered to begin with.

That does remind me of a fanfic idea I've had, but never wrote, because writing just ain't my thing. But the premise is Hisao is stuck in what he thinks is a groundhogs daytime loop (how he rationalizes a player saving and loading), but due to her proximity, Misha also gets sucked into the time loop (that's why she doesn't get a route) but neither of them know that the other person is also stuck in the time loop. Don't know where the plot would go, but it's an amusing premise.
