Even daisy has got most of her land culture in full display back recently after decades of neglect.

But then you move towards some stuff made outside of Nintendo and you get stuff like LM3's ghosts that just look like normal american cartoon creatures or the entirety of the DKC casts which are very, despite Nintendo's strong supervision, british comic book coded. I think the only spin-offs that put designs that consistently fit with Mario fine is Paper Mario and most likely due to the fact that the vast majority of their designs are edited enemies into NPCs.
