Is it bad I am genuinely more interested in the weird route than the main route? Like, I like the characters, I love Susie, I like Noelle, even Suselle can be cute at times! But for some reason, I just get more enjoyment out of discussing the weird route, it is much more intriguing, much more depth and the fact it changes scenes that it seemingly has no reason to change! It feels like there is so much thought put into it and its themes that I can't help but be more drawn to it than the normal route..

I do think that Weird Route, while absolutely the dark route to go on, will very strong legs to stand on as an experience once we enter the end-game (and if Toby didn't become a coward). I do think with how Toby's team has been handling Kris much better than he did Chara, so to the Weird Route in comparison to the Genocide Run. One may be mantling Hell itself on the chase of freedom but if they hold no shame or doubt, it'll be nothing short of morbid beauty at what stands before and behind them. And if Toby truly played SMT, then he knows that's the high of the Chaos route. To mantle a thousand curses for that which you desire no matter the cost, whether its a better paradise than the gilded cage of Law or a land of carnal and wrathful indulgence depends on where you fall/the game but the fundamental core is Rebellion Until the End.

I don't consider it weird considering the normal route just started developing its plot end of Ch3/Ch4 meanwhile Weird Route started being more serious out the gate. It skipped 90% of the preamble that was normal Ch1-3 while putting everything under a different lens. I hope that Toby is able to better balance the routes by making Normal (and Sword) shine on their own once the full game's out, and not have a repeat of genocide autism.

Because you can't use them as revives. You need ACTUAL revives, remember? Only Kris avoids swoon.
The problem with the knight is it cheats compared to everything else so far. Jevil, Spamton, and Gerson are all hard but fair. It's genuine tests of game skill, inventory management, and allow you to use your equipment to mitigate things.
With the Knight, it's doing true damage that bypasses your defense and Swoon prevents you using food or waiting for your party to recover on their own. Even with the Mantle, you're struggling a fuck ton and you need every body you can get to soak damage and to generate TP for the rude buster.

equip shadow mantle on kris
Kris is either defending for extra tp and less chance of down or using mints on downed ppl. never attack with Kris. free turn for whatever you want. use the ACT that makes the soul faster on turn 2, defend first turn for the easier time getting that first rude buster.
practice to get better at dodging. if you need to, spend a few attempts with everyone defending to practice patterns. watch the way other people dodge them and try to replicate if you're having a lot of trouble. Kris being up is first priority, since they already take less damage and can be healed without revivemints.
make sure all your healing items are as good as you can get: all your revivemints, tension items if you NEED them, deluxedinner, etc
repeat practice until you don't immediately ultradie
if all else fails repeatedly, there's always a cheat engine.

So this might be obvious by now but
The Delta Rune itself is:

The Angel is the player. If this game is predicated around a game ending Toby saw in a Fever dream in 2011, I'm assuming it's been an impact on his psyche for a while and that it might be based on something Toby has seen in real life.

I'm 100% betting it all represents the ending as a meta-plot contrivance ala Earthbound's ending where the player was tricked earlier in the game into giving their real name in an extremely forgettable event, and then the player's name is brought up again at the very climax and they are made into a "character" that helps the protagonists defeat Giygas. The player becomes "the Angel" and directly stops the Roaring while directly bringing closure to your issues with Kris.

We only see darkness in the scene where Ralsei shows what the "angel actually looks like" and it's because it's meant to be a dark screen with the player's face reflected in it.
Deltarune ends with a meta-plot trick like Earthbound/Mother 3 with the player SOUL itself - as it has already been doing in Weird Route and other places - becoming a direct character. In some big meta-twist, you, the player's name, will be spoken at some point in the end and (You) resolve the ending of UT/DR in some meta plot device. This also will resolve the multiverse built by Gaster involving Undertale and set the stage while resolving the reset multiverse of UT, being both an ending and a prequel to UT explaining how Sans knows 'the player', he recognizes you as the SOUL from DR.

No idea how this ends with the delta rune ending up in UT's timeline though, maybe just a coincidence
