Can someone explain why you're supposed to use these types of relics on duchess instead of rune acquisition boosters?
Extra runes stack with the +10 extra rune acquisition buffs you get after beating ever goals so you get a lot of runes and then you can buy the purple weapon available at every merchant.

you should be planning a route with minimal running.

This will make your summons "ult". I don't find it interesting with helen or frederick, but sebastian will do his laser which is very good.
And obviously +25% damage for allies is huge, especially considering they're immortal for 15 seconds.

i don't like ghostflame explosion, yeah it does some damage but that's it. it's more useful against groups than the nightlord, which i find pointless, groups are never hard to kill.

i also find this pointless. since allies are immortal for 15 seconds, they'll probably get damaged for what you healed them so its just a waste for me

So much shit in this game is just never explained. Wylder can cheat death a single time? So when my health reaches zero I won't die? Does my health get brought back to half or something? Guardian's ult says it raises a protective area? What does that mean? Allies in the area take reduced damage? Or allies in the area take no damage at all? Ironeye's marking creates a temporary weak point. What does that mean? Enemies take more damage? From who? All allies or just Ironeye? His ult ignores defenses. What does that mean? It ignores defense stats and does more damage as a result? Or does it simply bypass shields? Raider's ult doesn't even mention the fact that it gives you and your teammates a damage boost. All of this shit is only possible to learn through trial and error when they're the basic mechanics of the character that you should know before you even start playing them.

You are right. This game should not be as cryptic as it is. Many anons here have basically been playing nightreign training wheels games for 10-15 years. There are mechanics baked onto mechanics baked onto knowledge based fights and on and on. Its a HUGE game knowledge game paired with combat action mechanics.

If nightreign wasnt souls using elden ring name and reintroducing old enemies with familiar movesets then it would not last even a week before people dropped it. Old fans will really have a hard time understanding how the game seems to people who are trying it for their first souls game. Its probably the worst souls game to play first unless you are playing solo or with actual irl friends who are patient with you.

it depends on the boss. i wouldnt bother trying brair knight or the gargoyle with a pug until you are like 10+ at least maybe higher if a bad group. tree spirit is practically free if you played elden ring and know their moves, my noob group did it at level 8 easily. You can do some really low but they take longer when you are lower so might not be worth until day 2.

You can hit 15 just spamming the basic soldier camps/forts/cathedrals if you add in a few evergoals here or there. You also dont need 3 people to take out a basic camp, you dont need to pick up every boss drop, 1 person can do a fire chariot camp and the other two take a different route to do something else at the same time. XP is shared across the map.

I have had groups where they do nothing but basic camps and we reach 15 but we split up a bit and had good pathing.

It's a noob trap for sure, you've basically gotta wait till the field boss has pathed away from it then pull the evergaol boss to the other side.
OTOH, if it's a low-level or easy high level (like erdtree avatar), and your team is halfway competent you can fight both at once and it's extremely time efficient.
In terms of leaving, if they're this new to the game it's not like me leaving would have any impact on their experience.

I'm using the testing marionette in the yard, and I had two relics with +3 dexterity each, I was doing 45 damage using his cursed sword, one R1. I unequip the relic, and I'm still doing 45 damage.
