If you don't want someone to bother you then go with crewmates, they have the fewest lines Ezekiel is a good example. But if you want the Constellation main 4 then Andreja and Sam are the most laid back ones with Sam having his annoying daughter with him and his exwife quest will eventually come up in due time. Sarah is okay, she tend to be quite assertive while Barrett is always trying to find humor in everything which can be off putting.

Not being funny here but they're just delaying the inevitable. The current VA situation with the Industry is not sustainable. VA's are needlessly expensive (especially celebrity ones), VA needs to be done in a ton of different languages which means that it's extremely time consuming and a logistical nightmare. Additionally, if the game adds new content, particularly in the case of live service games, then all those VA's need to be brought back to do more lines. Then there's the issues of VA's quitting/retiring/dying etc...

There are some nice player home mods out there. Some of them function as an outpost aswell. That one starstation is movable.

Also outposts are most likely just a scrapped concept that got brought in from fallout settlement systems. They needed a way for people to decorate their playerhomes and they originally had a much larger resource to manufacturing pipeline for the game, but that got scraped. They originally planned out alot more ship Habs and the Habs themselves were going to be a resource sink for the outpost manufacturing pipeline. Once most of the ship Habs got scraped they moved the ship parts into a credit sink at the ship vendors. The outposts and resources are scaled back from what was originally intended, but serve the function of a home decorator/ playerhome creator.

I just bought this and I have to say, its a lot better than the "space trucker" experience in Starfield. Its basically Eurotruck/American Truck Simulator in space. Has its own mechanics. You have to get out and float around fixing hull breaches, and maintaining various systems on your truck. Its really comfy and I've been surprised with how much more fun it is compared to Starfield's loading screen simulator.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if starfield is in its way out. The thing about single player games is that they don't just crash and burn the second a developer pulls the plug.
Bethesda has more than enough time. That being said I feel like starfield is just a stop gap game for them. Also who knows what's been going on in the company with the fallout TV show. Then you have all the other development projects. My guess would be they're spending alot of time working on content for fo76 in time for the next season of the TV show. It would be wise for bethesda to dump a bunch of content into fo76 at the same time the TV show rolls out.

Starfield was a golden child of bethesda during development and it showed they could create a new ip (something they hadn't done in a while). Who knows what they'll put into it in the future.
