Not sure about CoSaves but the other one helped me in the past with some funky errors at startup like a false save corruption issue where the game reproted my saves as corrupt but they weren't after I enabled this or the other setting (Max Studio).
ESMifying your plugin can help. This stupid reference limit issue resolves around the number of references preset in .esp extensions anyway.
