IIRC they said they bought that studio to have them work towards coordinating partner media projects (like the Mario Movie and the Zelda Movie, for example) but also to provide assistance with the production of visuals for their games be it with animation or concept art or whatever. I think in most cases, the quality and design of the package is important too, for example both Xenoblade 3 and TOTK have 9 CDs due to the amount of music each of those games has. I don’t know anything about CD storage capability myself, but the packages would be a lot lamer if everything was somehow on a single CD. MK World has even more songs than Xeno 3 but less than TOTK, but unlike TOTK the number of proper songs is way more compared to TOTK’s jingles and minimalistic songs, so perhaps 9 CDs like both Xeno 3 and TOTK would be how they do a soundtrack release for it?

I play her on Mach Rocket and she feels fine. You're basically swapping speed for acceleration comparted to the meta combos. Stats are really close in this game. She has a +1 on road speed so she's already better than most of the characters in her weight class.

Probably. compared to Baby Blooper you get an extra point in accel and handling at the cost of a point in weight and speed. The heaviest character online you'll probably see is Mario, and she outweighs him, assuming he's driving Blooper. And Pauline's naturally high speed balances out the difference.

Heavy characters have the same problem as high speed karts. They specialize in all three speed types at the cost of bad accel and handling. Lighter characters don't have this issue. So they can pick karts (ROB HOG, Mach Rocket, Baby Blooper) that specialize in the best/most common speed stat (Road) while still reaping the benefits of high accel and handling.
You can consult the doc on character stats if you are curious and trying to experiment. It is still being developed, but there is enough info there to get a good understanding of each character's true stat.

No. Pauline and DK are great. Pauline Blooper and DK Mach share the same stats except 1 point diff between Road vs Dirt speed (same handling though). Both have 8 Acceleration which is serviceable. Even then you could go Pauline Mach for 9 Acceleration. Dirt speed is not bad. People get great results on characters with Water speed, and even characters with no speed bonus like Baby Daisy. Dirt is more common than people make it out to be.

step 2: drive one driver to the first double item box, while the other goes about 5-7 seconds ahead of them
step 3: get a double item box. if they're the right distance ahead, you should be getting triples, hammers, mushrooms, etc. if you're getting a ton of singles they're probably too close, if you're getting coin blocks or coin shells they're too far. otherwise, you are in "getting kamek" range.
step 4: if you don't get kamek, either drive off into a nearby void, or turn around until lakitu picks you up. otherwise, collecting the item box again will give you trash items. lakitu picking you up resets your luck for those boxes.
you just keep doing this until you get kamek. it can take a while, and you aren't guaranteed to get the NPC you want, so get some videos or some shit to watch. also matches automatically end after 10 minutes so careful not to waste too much time once you have it.

Significantly worse stadiums and items, characters had less animations and the ones they did have had very little personality and were all based outta reused voice clips, people had to wait months for DLC to get some basic content included and it was still a barebones empty game after wards, the online mode was really fucking baffling and they used most of the dev time on a weird "customizable decoration for your side of the field" gimmick that was barely worthwhile because you only saw it at the very beginning of the match, it had no unlockables outside of a weird armor STATS-BASED gimmick that allowed you to make the meta and broken characters even more broken.
