That’s such a great point about forming a story with the weapons you collect over time. I think I would’ve preferred a system were you can add different attachments (scopes, mags, special ammunition, etc) and cosmetics that you can use on our existing weapons over time, you can spec them out each season and for different missions. They set this up as being related to the Nine, but we have NO clue how it's related. We don't even know the proper setup for the campaign. For all we know, the Guardian decides "what if I hit the gas on my ship REALLY HARD" and ends up tripping into a wormhole.

They 100% lowered the bonus for Weapons from 15% to 10%, though. All the CC previews showed 15% as the gear bonus. Let's say you want that A Sudden Death that everyone's raving about right now. You don't care about Columns 1 or 2, so we'll focus on just getting Envious or Slideshot with Trench or 1-2 Punch.
In the current system, Getting C3&4 both with at least one perk you want in each column:

>Jackpot on a Foil (all 4 perks are the 4 perks you want) - 1.2%
If we were to make A Sudden Death a T5 drop, and apply the same logic:

Is that particularly better, given that Foils are way easier to farm than T5 will be? Consider your personal best times for a GM Nightfall. From what we've seen, we're likely only going to get 1~2 T5 drops each run, so even on the faster GMs where you can be done in 10~15 minutes (assuming no glitches), that's still 10~15 minutes of sweating for what might be a dogshit roll, compared to the Foil experience now, which is at worst 15 minutes of solo ez mode dungeon runs in Explorer for 2~6 drop chances, including the currency at the chest.

Have you seen the perks for EOF guns? Most of them are 7 perks a column, and have a lot of filler perks and new untested shit that reads closer to Lone Wolf than Heal Clip. Sure, there's probably a sleeper pick in there, and there's new archetypes and frames to play with, but nothing has stood out as being worth a T5 grind.

The loot isn't good and lacks any killer combinations or utility, so they're giving us a 2~10% damage spike to try and make us play it anyway.
The activities to get loot aren't any different in most respects, and what IS different is only getting harder.
We're being compelled to playing the hardest stuff for a temporary buff.
The numbers don't lie, and they say "This sucks, man."

I think its pretty funny that with the new armor if you got a 63 stat roll when masterworked it would only be 78 stat total, while with current armor you can get a 68 stat roll or slightly higher and when masterworked have 80+ total stat.

Best part? The new armor will force +5 onto the 3 lowest stats, while with old armor it will add 2 on those stats because it has a minimum of 2 points in every stat making a total of 4 points. Which ultimately means with current armor you can get more points in the stats you want than the new system even if its like 2-3 points.

Yeah I really don’t like that quirk of the lowest stat getting things. I understand it kind of as a strat to compensate for those moments when you need 1-2 pts to put you over, the theoretical need of a +3 from artifice not being necessary in full, but obviously there’s tons of situations you want that extra in other places to compensate for other stuff. Also bummer there doesn’t seem to be Melee+Class combo for armor type, it’s incredible how Arc subclass never had shit going for it, combo blow loop is so damn good yet whoops gotta ruin that or you gotta autistically build into it leaving other shit on table. Idk my forecast on this is the blatant strong stuff remains, needle barely nudged elsewhere. People smoking crack if they think there’s gonna be a Young Ahamkara Spine or Shinobu’s meta

Nothing comes to mind. The loot pool curation is kinda whatever especially if you got access to stuff from prior raids, no need for Cold Comfort when Hezen rules. There is some appeal with the Sundered Slug able to double dip damage perks and shit but there’s not many close range slug fights, and there’s options that exist already up close that there’s again no stress.

He posed some pretty legit concerns and said a hell of a lot more than Datto and Cross. Yeah I think where things get iffy is the second somebody realizes oh x,y,z on ball stomp mode is an easy 6 minute run, do all your shit there, this allure of all these choices of portal collapses in on itself.
