Yes. Definitely giving up on Minecolonies for Forgematica. They buildings aren't even that good and wouldn't fit with my idea anyway.
Also a pity that Forgematica doesn't seem to work in 1.21.1 because of a wrong versioning (https://github.com/ThinkingStudios/MaLiLib-Forge/issues/75), hope it is fixed soon, as right now I'm giving up on Minecolonies for buildfagging.

I'm playing TerraFirmaGreg and I've played VS. I like the early game of VS a lot, since trying out TFG, there's very little difference other than the lore, combat, environment being prettier and enemies being different but similar.
That said, it's very grindy and there's little automation from what I've seen unless you mod VS, personally I'm enjoying TFG a bit more because I know later on I'll have tech to enjoy in the world so I won't have to start over - mainly playing modded whilst I wait for updates.

If you do play VS, install the 'knapster' mod so you don't have to play the knapping/clay/anvil pixel minigame which will get tiresome very quickly.

Took a break to go back to Sevtech and trying to figure out a better method of water generation to fuel a steam generator. I really don't want to play around with magic mods (they do my head in sometimes), that said, I know a lava/water sigil will provide all needs for this type of generator but is there a better method than using well buckets and pnuematiccraft hoppers to suck the water out?
I need something like 5000mb+ a tick of water and I'm considering going ahead and adding a couple hundred hoppers to feed into the thirsty generator.

Anyone know a trick to faster water? I looked into using a snow golem to turn snow into water, but it's far slower than I thought. I might settle on sucking the ocean dry.

They added EFR, a mob that backports a lot of nuversion stuff. A lot of the features have already been added by other mods (variant doors, cherry trees, raw ores, slime blocks, etc.) but IIRC deepslate, blackstone, netherite and shulkers have been confirmed. Hi there, im pretty new to Minecraft, tried Vanilla many many years ago now... and while I admired many youtube videos of people building amazing and complicated stuff, it was clear to me then that this is where the content basically was, and I wasn't gonna get into it. Depends on whether you're leaning more towards player progression and exploration or towards automation and industry, really. There are some good packs that focus on the RPG/exploration side of things, some good packs that try to split the difference and some extremely good packs that focus more on automation and industry.

If you want to try your hand at industrial autism-lite then Monifactory is your best bet. Extremely slick and polished with a lot of depth while still being accessible and having relatively rapid progression.

No, every structure mod in existence is absolute shit about adding them to worldgen. Even if the structure is well designed physically, its placement will inevitably have some kind of problem. Generating too often, generating half underground, generating floating, overlapping structures at the same location.

Structure mods suck. You'd think mojang would've thought ahead 2 seconds when they did the data changes but nope, every fucking problem with structures is because they were fucking lazy about it and modders just rely on what capabilities mojang has added instead of rewriting it to do it properly.
