Too much of the recent shit has been focused on tranny savage raiders. Despite the high amounts of faggotry in the game, the majority of players were not savage raiders. This might change now that droves of people are unsubbing, but I played since ARR and rarely ever did savage. It simply takes too much time and most of my friends didn't want to do it. The content has limited appeal to most players. It's absolute retardation to focus resources on something at most 10% of the playerbase does (and that's being generous). The game was lacking good content for normal people and now this expansion pushed that to the fullest they can. This is why so many left. It's why the game will likely go into maintenance mode from here on out as I don't feel like they want to save it.

I'll still stand by what I said for years now. Endwalker should have been the end. There's no reason to keep dragging the game out. If they weren't stupid, they would have made a new MMO with an engine that isn't shit. Now they're fucked because their MMO is dying AND they don't have a new one in the works.

I used to think "it can't get any worse" but my wow-playing friend saw a similarity to the player pop trend of XIV and WOW circa BFA to shadowlands. Shadowlands seeming to be the worst of WOW's expansions to date made me realize

1- People really believed the Scions disbanded, which still blows my mind because it was said to be a front on the literal next voice line after Alphinaud said "we are disbanding the Scions of the Seventh Dawn". So when we had the Scions hanging out with us again, the speed readers were angry.
2- People also believed we would go back to regular adventuring days, with low stakes an- OH OOPS THE 13TH IS HERE AND THEY WANT TO END THE WORLD. (People hated world ending stakes being a thing once more)
3- Endwalker's whole point was that unlike other expansions, it would be a story that ended on the 6.0 patch, while other expansions had the real "ending" on the x.3 patch, Endwalker had a whole story line that started on 6.1 to 6.5, which felt rushed and had no substance, to that add the fact of having to wait 4 fucking months, people were burned out of it.

6.0 - 6.1 does nothing to show the viewer any significant amount of time has passed at all. Again, why even introduce the plot point of making a show of not associating in public only to throw it away THE NEXT PATCH? This is why people got butthurt, because we thought "Hey, scions spread out, they're all still in the club but they're gonna be dotted around the world doing their own things for a while and we can check in on them now and again" was what was gonna happen. The worst part is that the EW and DT map sizes are enjoyable to me during MSQ but the instant I have to unlock flying or wanna do FATEs the cracks really show.
