The game started out at a very high power level instead of resetting to early SV power levels which a lot of people take as a bad sign, bbut with the advanced set released schedule and the way the cards are designed, I think it's actually indicative that they have an intended power level for rotation that's going to be very strongly enforced in future sets. They avoided hard counters like Seraph and paced the game around the 10 turn clock very nicely.
The base release is pretty ass but as long as the vial problem isn't prohibitively bad, future formats should be fine once we get more cards because it seems really unlikely we'll get some gross power creep out of nowhere again.
