regarding world vs rise: world has better graphics/environments and slower meatier combat; rise is more action-oriented and has a ton of diversity when it comes to builds & mechanics. world is the more popular title and is generally the one recommended to players new to the series.

Sunbreaks has the most "expressive" switchaxe and of course, much higher quality monsters you will enjoy with that weapon; Worlds, while limited, has more "oomph". Compare the axe charging attack. Worlds' feels like slamming a fucking cannon into the ground. Just for that feel alone, I prefer Worlds. Though all monsters suck until the very very end.

NTA but there's no point in that, they are not speedrunning but running around trying to record cool clips, probably using weaker gear. That's 30 seconds of nonstop monster attacking uptime, if it were a speedrunning the monster would fight 15 seconds tops before getting toppled, it would be a terrible format for clip farming.
If there was a quest timer, someone would probably nitpick it's at a 20 minute mark.

Sunbreak has the best mechanical iteration of SA in the history of mainline..... if you decide not to go for the counter spam.
World is close.... if you decide not to go for the mantle ZSD spam.
The weapon itself is great in both games and is actually fairly balanced but said balance is overshadowed with the availability to trivialize a big chunk of the game via gimmicks.

[Future Update Plans]

So far, we have discussed what we will be addressing in the second Free Title Update, however we feel there are still many points of feedback and requests to address. In particular, expanding endgame content is a focus area for us in future updates.

Here's a look at how we plan to expand the endgame content.

<Free Title Update 3 (end of September)>

In Free Title Update 3, a new level of quest difficulty will be added, which will feature their own unique rewards. Hunters can use these rewards for a new Talisman crafting system, which can be assigned various skills at random. The new Talismans can be assigned a wide variety of skills, including those exclusive to Weapons and Armor, and will also be randomly assigned slots for decorations as well. We believe this system will broaded the range of builds, and create a gameplay loop that encourages players to equip themselves to take on the game's toughest challenges.

We will announce information on the main features of Free Title Update 3 separately at a later date, so please look out for more information in the future!

<Free Title Update 4 (this winter)>

Free Title Update 4 is scheduled to be released this winter. This update will include a new monster as well as more challenging elements.

We are considering ways to ensure that the Artian weapons you have already forged will remain valuable, so we hope you will continue to forge and strengthen your Artian weapons while waiting for more info on Free Title Update 4 in the future.

We are also working on various improvements and adjustments, including improving usability and game stability. We will continue to work on through these updates. Title Updates, excluding bug fixes and other updates, will be implemented every few months, as with the first and second updates.

i've said it before, and I'll say it again, they just need to tinker with how fast wounds pop up, like they did with AT Rey (and probably other AT monsters)
On AT Rey, wounds were rare enough that using a focus attack on them felt like a real target of opportunity, not something you just mash on to stunlock it. Avoiding a wound on Rey's legs until it was ready to take off felt really great, for example.

I'm pretty sure there's a skill that extends riding time. It might be a food skill. In general though monsters are really fast when you ride them so you can get pretty far just with the normal timer. No idea what you're doing but getting hit by another monster decreases the timer and it also just goes down naturally

At this point I don't know ehy they can't just striaght port some monsters from World/IB into each patch. Lagi and Steve are great, but that's 2 monsters and then we wait a whole ass month for AT Fatfuck Fish. Just toss in Uragaan and Glavenus to keep things interesting. We don't even have an invader monster yet for fucks sake. And a fucking Fender crossover? Wtf man. We went from FF14 collabs to guitar hero?

I definitely expect the game to spike and then die again but what's more interesting to me is how many people will come back. For TU2 we got 500k people but that was really close to launch and more recently for akuma we got 99k people but that's a relatively niche collab since it's not even ryu and fighting games aren't super popular. I'm really curious how an update specifically aimed at what monhun players want (a highly anticipated return of a fan favorite monster) will do. I could even see this affecting how they handle updates in the future. If it doesn't do well they might just focus on more collab content instead for the expansion but who knows what Capcom is thinking

All inclemencies should have noticeable negative effects on you unless you prepare for them. Basin's Cool Drinks for more of the map is the only one that exists.

I've never been struck by lightning in the plains.
Making the forest gray isn't an actual effect.
The blizzard in the Cliffs doesn't even make more of the map cold or anything; it's the same.
The inclemency in the Ruins is an actual easter egg players need to go out of their way to experience.

I think the /mhg/ one has a stronger variant of AT velk. All the AT monsters have like a special quest where you fight an even stronger version of them in one of the boss arena maps.
