There's consolation prizes at every step of the way. As someone who takes frequent breaks from the game and therefore don't have top of the line cards, I will say that the PvP (Champions Meeting) difficulty is overstated. You have to be trolling or just making auto umas to not even reach B finals at least.

The other PVP event, League of Heroes, is far more generous when it comes to rewards. You can hit the softcap on rewards rather easily. Hitting top 300 and top 96 on it is purely for bragging rights.

I think the main stumbling block for people has been they’re simply not getting enough Stamina for umas that have campaigns heavy on Medium and Long races. Stamina sucks to train early on. Part of that is because no one has good genes yet to use or borrow, part of that is because Creek is a pretty bad card until 3LB compared to other options at 0-1LB and only using 1 stamina card instead of 2, and another part is Guts is functionally worthless until they update the mechanics.
These numbers are a little inflated due to being in Neo-URA with Super Meek, but the range is about right for how much raw Stamina people need to be aiming for.
Short/Sprint, Mile, Mid, and Long respectively.
People also need to realize how valuable Rainbow INT/Wits(?) training is. You have a limited number of turns, so you need to try to optimize the efficiency of your actions.
Resting is probably the lowest efficiency choice you can make on a turn besides trying to recover from hors AIDS, INT training restores a bunch of your Energy gauge while also increasing your stats, Rainbow INT training increases how much Energy is restores, and resting should be a last resort only after you’ve taken a bit of risk on a moderate failure rate training and burned your Energy well past half. Now the efficiency isn’t going to be as good as it good be if you don’t have multiple MLB INT/Wits cards, but still better than resting.

No, this is about PVP League of Heroes platinum rating. If global is accelerated we're gonna see it implemented sooner rather than later but probably not before Champions Meeting which is the real f2p slaughter event. And you know what, even in Open league it feels damn good to see your uma in the center of Ms. Victoria live. Plat refers to a rating you get in the League of Heroes PvP events. It has nothing to do with beating the campaign, because eventually it's assumed you will always beat it. Just don't worry about what they're talking about because you'll only have to deal with Champion's Meeting for a while unless they change the schedule completely.

As for placing in PvP in general, as long as you're mildly smart about how you spend your currency (and lucky) you can punch above your weight a bit as a F2P. Going balls in during free support rolls helps pad your deck out a lot, so it's always good to have a stash for when those roll around.

as for the umas, you don't pull for them. you get a limited selector every 6 months and you pick out your favourites out of them. all of them can do good if you got busted support cards

if you want to play casually/for the story, just skip on MLB-ing support cards and funnel that into getting more of your favourite umas beyond the selectors
