Two months into epoch, the meta will settle and all tryhard raids will consist of the 10 specs with raid buffs and the remaining spots will be filled with the best dps. Instead of gambling whether X or Y does more dps, you should just pick one of the classes where every spec has exclusive buffs that raids can't go without.

I've tanked my way to 60 on many a Warrior and my golden rule is no paladin in the party before 60. It's just never worth it. They'll roll on everything, do less dps than the healer if they are brought as a dps get uppity when you ask them to refresh their blessings. At 60 when you start doint 10 mans/raids and they realise that they have to only roll on heal gear it gets tolerable
Yeah inviting other warriors can suck but at least they do damage. It irks me when they charge in and blow their load a micro second after my own charge but if they rip threat they are in plate so they can survive. I bring them if i need no loot from the dungeon and just want quests/xp. They pump and the dungeon gets done faster

What happens if the best (by a fat margin) DPS in vanilla wants to tank?

there's a lot of newer players on anni i'm seeing that still ask questions like "is ret a good dps?" or "can i tank raids as a paladin?" even with the plethora of easily accessible info out there. they find out, probably around the time of ZF that they need to be in +int/healing gear and or specced in to holy to get a spot in groups and those are very good to have around. i love being able to sit in zerker stance just demolishing the meters whilst holding aggro on everything because the paladins mana isn't budging even though he's keeping me alive through it all. makes me feel like a god. all the dungeons before that point though are rough unless the healer is a priest i find. those are the ones who rolled the class to mainly heal and they're good at it. they aren't reluctantly doing it just to get accepted into a group so they can also roll on the warrior loot

I was told about this Turtle WoW game and how it was the go to private server for Vanilla WoW. I've always been a big WoW player, but recently unsubbed from official WoW servers and wanted to give private servers a try, figure it must be legit if there are so many playing them. I downloaded the client. No problems so far. Then when I launched the Turtle WoW launcher my computer begin to slow down. I didn't think much of it, because I guess it's a new file or something, idk; so, I restarted my computer and this is when I felt something was off. I noticed my usual startup time took much longer than before. I have a nicer PC build BTW, but this just didn't seem right. I launched Turtle WoW launcher again I suspected this might be the issue. I opened WoW anyways and it wasn't opening and then finally opened after like 5 minutes, which is just obsurd. I decided to run a malware virus scan and sure enough Turtle WoW file had Malware and a virus attached to it. WTF!!!!!!!!!!

I'm never downloading a private servers again and I hope anyone who is interested in playing private server be cautious. I'm not happy with Blizzard, but this seemed like a cool thing to try. This is not cool. I thought this server was the go-to server. Who the fuck is running Turtle WoW and I get a virus from installing their launcher?

I like comfy but you need comfy specs for your custom pserver. Epoch policy is the opposite of comfy. HP bloat enemies, even normal mobs have twice HP by lvl 40, so if you don't play one of the good specs leveling is going to turn choring real fast. It's all educated guesses and some rough math. They fixed on adding custom content and ignored the class design, that was painfully obvious during the last beta and I'm positive they didn't even bother to do the aforementioned rough math themselves, DPS disparity is going to be almost as bad as vanilla (3 specs on top instead of one). They can fix most of the problems but, again, due the autistic attitude of Kucktotes, I assume it's going to be too little, too late.

Gimmicks are fun! Stuff that lets you circumvent a 'get out of the way' mechanic now and then is neat, Turtle had the same thing with trees being slow and I really didn't find it a problem at all and I was resto most of the time, though arguably with how Turtle did it you didn't need to be in tree for 5 mans which were the most mobile. Never really like Rshamans either, chain heal is pretty boring.

I get what you're saying but it just reminds me of all the forum posts on Turtle declaring X, Y and Z total abject failures before they were out (Also backed up by math) and when the stuff came out it was alright or at least acceptable and people just like making a fuss.

TBC talents are stronger yeah, but they also tuned them down to vanilla values AND talents dont make much of a difference while leveling. 1% attack speed and 3% crit doesnt fucking do anything for you until you are in raiding gear with a full rotation and a bunch of minmaxed stats. While leveling that 3% crit doesnt do shit all.
