Jihoon sighed. "Then we need the Spider Bud."

Decades ago, the WAW-class EGO known only as Ryoshu’s Spider Bud had been sealed away beneath the city, too dangerous to destroy, too powerful to ignore. Created during the final days of the Lobotomy Corporation Era, the EGO had the power to instill both submission and madness. It was designed after Ryoshu’s psyche: artistic, persistent, cruelly efficient.

Jihoon pressed his palm to the scanner. A hiss of old hydraulics and the scent of ozone filled the air. The ground trembled as a spiral staircase descended into the depths. The Bunker had opened.

"Monzo. Torch."

The servant activated a faint luminescent bulb from his chest rig. The descent took exactly 666 seconds, by design. At the base, a vault door bore the mark of Ryoshu’s art: a single line etched into titanium, jagged and beautiful. The door opened not to a lock, but to understanding; one had to feel her pain.

Jihoon drew a blade across his palm and smeared it on the sigil.

“Let me paint your end,” he whispered, Ryoshu’s final recorded words.

The vault groaned open.

The EGO responded to Jihoon’s authority as a registered Custodian. Tendrils of synthetic silk crept toward him and formed a purple armor that pulsed like a heartbeat. It locked onto his nervous system, and his eyes flickered with brushstrokes of madness.

He had become The Curator.

Above, chaos bloomed. The Limbus Cult, draped in trench coats and wielding weaponized fan theories, stormed the Broadcast Spire. Their leader, Dante.exe, a cybernetic archivist of lore had activated the Great Loop, a memetic device that forced citizens to relive Refraction Railway Line 2 - Möbius ad infinitum.

Jihoon and Monzo rose to meet them. The Curator’s Spider Bud EGO spun a web of visual distortion, causing rebels to see their favorite characters die in reverse, over and over. Some wept. Others knelt.

"True art," Jihoon whispered, "is control."

Kim Jihoon launched himself at Dante.exe, tearing through glitch-armor with blades repurposed from discarded E.G.O shards.

“You mock Ryoshu. You worship irony. You’ll be drawn and quartered.”

As Dante.exe fell, the memetic loop collapsed. Fans across the city dropped their weaponized edits and theory threads, eyes vacant, minds rebooted.

“Even now,” he murmured, voice raspy and dry, “they cling to fiction like a raft in the flood. As if story could save them.”

Monzo stood a few paces away, knees bent in silent kneeling posture, scribbling containment runes with red chalk and powdered E.G.O dust. His writing was swift, but reverent. Each mark was exact, as though copied from a manuscript etched directly into his memory core.

“You did what was necessary,” Monzo said, voice as calm as ever. “They will rebuild, but without a leader. The memes are broken. The loop is ended.”

Jihoon didn’t respond immediately. Instead, he reached into his coat and pulled out a small notebook, his Field Codex. Its pages were brittle, water-damaged, annotated in both ink and what looked suspiciously like dried blood.

He opened it to the last page. There was a drawing.

Outside the bunker, the city lights flickered back to life. Broken billboards rebooted. One screen, now fully functional, displayed a looping promo:

One Hopedeity, Mother Lumina, offers to cleanse Meursault’s mind of all conflict, he refuses, saying, “Conflict defines duty.”
Faust theorizes that the Hopedeities and Doomgods are not enemies, but halves of the same experiment. One was built to test if humans could bear ultimate sorrow; the other, if they could survive ultimate hope.
As they retrieve the second shard, Don Quixote begins to weep, not from despair, but from realizing the world cannot exist without both hope AND doom.

They introduced the status for FS Heath, but accidentally made most of his skills apply normal pierce fragility instead. They decided to change his skill descriptions to just say pierce fragility instead of making him apply pierce resist down like he was intended to. As a result, his guard skill (which is incredibly difficult to activate) is the only way you can get pierce resist down in the whole game.
